District Cross Country

So proud of our Bittern PS students at the Division Cross Country last week. It was great to see our school values of Inspire and Achieve at work👍Cross country is a demanding event that requires determination, persistence and resilience, and our students certainly rose to the challenge🏃‍♀️‍➡️ They encouraged one another, showed great sportsmanship and dug deep when the course became tough😅 Definitely inspirational and a great effort. Congratulations to all who took part, and we wish Alana all the best as she represents our school at the Division Cross Country on June 3rd🙏🏃‍♀️🙏

A few weeks ago, our Year 6 children headed off to Hamer Hall in Melbourne for a musical enrichment experience. Our lucky students were in the audience for a Classic Kids concert series performed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. They saw the orchestra in full swing whilst being taken on Beethoven's gaming quest. Sitting in such a prestigous theatre and engaging in this rich performance was a unique opportunity for our students

Education Week at Bittern Primary School - Theme: 'Showcase Your School'
We loved welcoming our grandparents and special visitors to school during Education Week. Guests enjoyed spending time in our classrooms, attending a whole-school assembly, and sharing delicious homemade zucchini slice and choc chip biscuits made by our ‘Hands On Learning’ team.
Our students proudly sang and signed (Auslan) the National Anthem, our school oath, and the song “We Are One.” Our school leaders shared the importance of our school values. It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating connection, community, and learning together.

We are so very proud of our BPS student leaders and students for their attendance at the ANZAC service at Crib Point last Saturday. A special moment was when our students instinctively started signing the National Anthem using their AUSLAN skills. Thank you Max for leading your fellow students in this process. Thank you to all our families who attended to mark this significant occasion. Lest we forget! 🌺
