Book week for Bittern Primary School was celebrated last week (due to swimming this week) and what a week it was!
Our annual dress up day parade was a sight to behold👏 So many creative and colourful costumes, happy faces, and stories to tell. A huge shout out to our dedicated and imaginative parents/carers for providing incredible costumes for our students👫
We were also privileged to engage in some incredible workshops run by 3 of our talented parents/grandparents who are accomplished authors🥰 A huge thankyou to Sascha, Wendy and Megan for providing an engaging workshop to enable our students to explore their writing, reading, and illustrating skills🙏 Thankyou also to Celeste (aka The Very Hungry Caterpillar) from Hastings Library for joining us on Friday for some book week fun. Book week is a week we always look forward to and 2026 was the best ever!📔📒📕

So proud of our senior students at Bittern PS. Last week we attended the ISAC challenge hosted by Rotary CLub of Somerville Tyabb. The challenge for these young leaders was to build a bridge that could withstand as much weight as possible⛩️ This challenge required our students to apply their science, maths and technology skills as well as work effectively as a team👫 We may not have been the winning team but it was an impressive display of co-operation, expertise and persistance. Well done Bittern PS🙏 Great effort! 👍👏👍

Our netballers are getting ready for the Winter Lightning Premiership next week. Every chance they get they are out on the court practising their ball skills, team work and improving their fitness levels. No umpire, or teacher required! These sporty students are self motivated, enthusiastic and work together like a well oiled machine. Their skills have improved considerably. So proud of you guys! Good luck on Thursday - we know you will do your very best!
