Through hands on learning, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking, she’s been supporting this young learner to develop real world skills, confidence and a product she’s proud of.

Passion Project Special - Behind The News 27/05/2026

Curious to know more about Passion Projects? Listen as BTN tries to explain it!

https://www.abc.net.au/btn/specials/special-passion-projects/106550846

This is the kind of real world learning we love at Think Bright Education. Passion Projects create opportunities for creativity, problem solving, STEM learning, entrepreneurial thinking and financial maths in ways that feel meaningful and engaging for young people.

A big part of what we do is mentor and support students to develop, create and foster their own Passion Projects based on their interests, strengths and ideas. From market stalls and handmade products, to business ideas, design, baking, sustainability projects and creative inventions, we love helping young people bring their ideas to life. ❤️

Passion Project Special - Behind The News We meet students bringing back letter writing, a school running its own shop to learn about business skills, and one that’s teaching their community about their school’s history and its links to a famous Australian artist. (✏️ English)

Passion Project - Behind The News 27/05/2026

I love that BTN are highlighting Passion Projects and wanting to hear from young people around the nation about their ideas. What a brilliant initiative to empower creativity, innovation and student voice. 👏

At Think Bright Education, we’re so passionate about supporting young people to explore their interests, think creatively and bring their ideas to life through meaningful, real world projects.

Passion Project - Behind The News We're inviting schools, classes and community groups around the country to tell us what their passion project is.

Sometimes the strongest thing a parent can do is admit they need support.

At Think Bright Education we support families carrying a lot behind the scenes.

The homework battles.
The reading struggles.
The homeschooling.
The emotional regulation.
The school struggles.
The disengagement from learning.
The pressure of trying to hold everything together.

That’s where the right support can make a difference.

Our mentoring, educational support and therapeutic wellbeing sessions are designed to help young people feel more connected, confident and engaged in learning again, while also taking some of the weight off parents.

We do this by building safe relationships, supporting emotional regulation, personalising learning, following children’s interests and creating connection-first support that helps young people feel understood and capable again.

You do not have to do it all alone. ❤️

Listen to Laura explain PDA and share some simple but powerful language shifts that can help children feel more supported, safe and understood.

“Just do it.”
“You need to calm down.”
“There’s nothing to worry about.”

Sometimes the words we use can accidentally increase stress and overwhelm for children experiencing PDA or anxiety.

At Think Bright Education, we focus on connection-first communication and supporting young people with empathy, flexibility and emotional safety.

Instead of:
❌ “You need to do this now.”
Try:
✔️ “How can I help?”
✔️ “Let’s do this together.”
✔️ “I can see this feels hard right now.”
