There is something so special about watching babies explore books 📚

At this age, it’s not about reading words—it’s about discovering pictures, pointing with curiosity, and naming what they see. A “dog,” a “ball,” or a familiar face often brings big excitement and joy.

These early moments support language, memory, and understanding of the world. When adults sit beside them, name pictures, and respond to their interests, babies begin to connect words with meaning and feel confident as early communicators.

Books become more than stories—they become shared moments of connection, learning, and wonder 🌱

Friday cooking classes with our chef, Miss Holly😃

Cooking helps children build math, science, and language skills by measuring ingredients, observing food transformations, and following recipe instructions.

It also strengthens fine motor skills and confidence as children practice hands‑on tasks and gain independence in the kitchen.

Involving children in meal preparation encourages healthier eating habits, including trying new foods and understanding basic nutrition.

Today our Sunset room had a wonderful day at Bush Kinder, where the children explored and connected with nature. They enjoyed observing trees, listening to birds, discovering a water pond, and watching others fishing nearby. When we arrived, we began with an Acknowledgement of Country, showing respect for the Traditional Custodians of the land.
In celebration of Earth Day, the children took part in caring for our environment by collecting rubbish from the garden, pathways, and bushes. We talked together about the importance of keeping our Earth clean and beautiful and how we can all help by looking after it every day. 🌏💚
It was a meaningful day filled with learning, respect, and care for nature.

Today our little explorers from the Windmill and Sunset Room had a wonderful adventure at Bush Kinder! 🌿✨

The children immersed themselves in nature, exploring the sights, sounds, and textures of the outdoors with curiosity and excitement. From crunching leaves underfoot to discovering hidden treasures along the way, every moment was filled with joy and learning.

A highlight of the day was spotting some ducks, which sparked lots of excitement and conversation among the children. 🦆💚

We love seeing our little learners connect with nature, build confidence, and create beautiful memories together. What a fantastic day of exploration!

'Noodle' the turtle has been part of our Mayfield Clyde North family for five whole years — time flies when you’re a turtle!

She’s always loves to greet the children in the morning with a friendly hello.

Today at Mayfield Clyde North, we celebrated a fun and exciting Olympics Day! 🏅

The children participated in a variety of mini-Olympic games and activities, showing great teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm. From bowling to bean bag toss, everyone had the opportunity to take part and cheer on their friends. We also held medal ceremony after the games.

It was wonderful to see the children enjoying active play, building confidence, and celebrating the spirit of the Olympics together. Most importantly, the children had lots of fun and created many happy memories throughout the day! 🌟
