Our little chickens have now settled into their new homes. They filled our days with such joy, curiosity, and simple fun, leaving us with warm memories of their lively presence.
Learning outcomes:
Responsibility and routine — understanding the daily commitment involved in caring for living creatures, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their wellbeing.
Empathy and compassion — recognising and responding to the needs of small, vulnerable animals with patience and kindness.
Observation skills — noticing changes in behaviour, growth, and development as the chicks matured.
Life cycle awareness — learning about the early stages of a chicken’s life from egg to the transition to a permanent home.
