Huge CONGRATULATIONS to MCSS Year 11 student Ash L who has been named as the AFL Canberra Rising Stars Woman Team Member of the Year.

Ash was recognised for this Award after a season of outstanding performances, leadership, and consistency. The selection recognises her significant contribution and influence across the competition.

A fantastic achievement and recognition to the effort she has put in all year.

Our Year 7/8 OzTag team have had an incredible two days!

Two losses, two draws and two wins!

A top 10 finish at the NSW OzTag Champion of Champions Tournament.

As we celebrate LSA and SYW Appreciation Week, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge and sincerely thank our incredible Learning Support Assistants and School Youth Workers.

Our LSAs and SYWs play an invaluable role in the life of our school. Through their dedication, compassion, patience, and expertise, they help ensure that every student is supported to learn, grow, and thrive. Whether working alongside teachers in classrooms, providing individualized support, encouraging students through challenges, or celebrating their successes, our LSAs and SYWs make a profound difference every single day.

Their commitment extends far beyond their daily responsibilities. They build meaningful relationships with students, contribute positively to our school community, and consistently demonstrate care, professionalism, and a deep belief in the potential of every learner.

Our heartfelt gratitude for all that our LSAs and SYWs do at MCSS!

Game 1 of 2 today has seen our OzTag team win 8 to 0!

Our Year 7/8 OzTag team left early Monday morning to head to Umina for the NSW OzTag Champion of Champions Tournament. Yesterday they played four games, losing two, drawing one and winning the last. Our students have at least two more games ahead of them this morning. We wish them all the best with their games today and know they will continue to play with incredible tenacity and drive as they did yesterday! Shout out to Mr Colbran and Miss Heald for supporting this opportunity!

R U OK Day! The High School Campus is hosting a Bake Sale on Friday 11 September for R U OK Day!

We are also hosting a M***i Day on Thursday 17 September to raise money for Neurofibromatosis. We look forward to sharing this day with our community. Thank you to Year 8 student Mika for helping us to raise awareness for this important cause.
