🐴 WELCOME TO AMAROO | MEET VINITY GILL 🩵🤎
We are incredibly excited to welcome Vinity Gill, Registered Psychologist, to the Amaroo Equine team.
And for some of our Amaroo community, Vinity may already be a familiar face. Her connection with Amaroo and our horses began through her own experiences here — including a very special relationship with her equine partner, Buzz. 🐴
That experience helped deepen Vinity’s appreciation of what can happen when traditional psychological support is complemented by the quiet presence, honesty and connection horses can offer.
With more than 20 years of experience, Vinity brings a wealth of clinical knowledge alongside a wonderfully warm, compassionate and person-centred approach.
Vinity is the Principal Psychologist at Moksha Therapy Psychology Practice in Katoomba and holds a Master’s in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and a Master’s in Brain and Mind Science.
She has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families, including people with complex support needs, and brings particular experience in:
🌿 Anxiety, depression and trauma
🌿 Emotional regulation and wellbeing
🌿 Child and adolescent mental health
🌿 Early childhood intervention
🌿 NDIS therapeutic supports
🌿 Behaviour support and BSP’s
🌿 Functional behaviour assessment and formulation
🌿 Life transitions, confidence and connection.
As Vinity continues to deepen her knowledge and experience in equine-assisted therapy, she will be integrating her psychological expertise with the unique experiential environment we offer here at Amaroo.
Working alongside our horses as co-facilitators can create opportunities to explore trust, relationships, communication, boundaries, emotional regulation, self-awareness and confidence in ways that can feel very different from traditional room-based therapy.
What we particularly love is that Vinity understands that the horse isn’t simply an addition to the therapy session. The relationship, experience and interaction between horse and human can become a meaningful part of the therapeutic process itself. 🩵
And we’re very excited to announce that Vinity has immediate availability at Amaroo on FRIDAYS.
Sessions will take place here at Amaroo Equine in the beautiful Megalong Valley, with access to our equine co-facilitators and the natural environment that makes Amaroo such a special place to do this work.
