What a wonderful Book Week Parade! Our primary students truly impressed us with their incredible costumes, showcasing so much creativity, imagination and enthusiasm as they brought their favourite book characters to life. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and the excitement shared throughout the day. Well done to all our students and families for making the parade such a special and memorable celebration of reading!

We’re so excited to celebrate all the wonderful father figures in our school community this week!

We have some special Father’s Day celebrations planned:

🎁 Tuesday: Our Prep students will enjoy their Father’s Day Stall.

🎁 Thursday: All of our students will have the opportunity to visit the Father’s Day Stall.

🥓 Friday: Join us for our special Father’s Day Breakfast from 7:30am–8:30am, welcoming all father figures in our community!

We look forward to celebrating and showing our appreciation for all the amazing dads, grandads, carers and special father figures who play such an important role in the lives of our students.

Tomorrow is our Book Week Parade & Grandparents’ Day!

📚9:30am – Book Week Parade
🧺10:30am – Grandparents’ Day Picnic
🏫11:30am–12:30pm – Open Classrooms, an opportunity for grandparents to visit and enjoy a little taste of school life with their grandchild!

Don’t forget to bring a picnic rug, your favourite children’s book and a book-themed morning tea to share with your grandchild.

We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow for a very special morning!

Our Industrial Technology students have wrapped up their HSC projects with an impressive collection of furniture and functional designs!

From a dog house featuring an articulating roof, to two cupboards showcasing excellent joinery skills, each project highlights creativity and craftsmanship. The coffee table makes a statement with its impressive blue resin, while the motorcycle gear rack demonstrates outstanding planning and preparation, along with a range of impressive techniques.

Congratulations to all our students on their fantastic work and achievements!

Our Stage 5 Sport & Exercise Science students are taking their learning into the gym!

As part of their classwork, students are developing practical knowledge and skills in physical fitness, training techniques and safe gym practices. From learning how to train effectively to understanding the principles behind fitness development, they’re building valuable skills they can use both in and beyond the classroom.

We’re so grateful to Kate Washington MP for taking the time to connect with our school community.

From answering questions and playing maths games with our Year 6 students, to sharing in the creativity of our Prep students, it was wonderful to see her engage so warmly with our students.

Congratulations to our U15 Girls who debuted their brand new Medowie Christian School kits and brought home 🥈 at this week's HRIS Gala Day!

After two penalty shootout wins and a hard-fought final, the girls finished an incredible second place. What a way to launch the new look!

We hope everyone in our school community enjoyed a wonderful and refreshing holiday break.

As we prepare to welcome students back next week, we look forward to hearing about their holiday adventures, celebrating their experiences, and seeing their smiling faces around the school once again. We can't wait to begin another exciting term together!
