Dear Families,
It is with great excitement that i would like to introduce and welcome our newest educator to Medowie Gumnut Preschool.
Tarryn will be starting with us as of next week and will be studying and training with us to complete her Certificate III in Early Childhood & Education.

TRAINEESHIP POSITION AVAILABLE

The trainee will undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

The successful applicants must:
* Possess a Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain one
* Be willing to combine study components with workplace experiences to obtain qualifications
* Be wiling to work rotating shifts and assist all educators willingly
* Possess good written and verbal communication skills
* Be able to work with a team and follow instructions from all educators
* Possess a passion for working with children and a willingness to learn.
*Have the required covid -19 vaccinations

Exemplary trainees may have opportunity for future employment, upon completion of traineeship.

Anyone over the age of 18years are welcome to apply.

Applications must include a cover letter and resume and must be submitted via email to [email protected]

WWCC number, covid vaccination verification and drivers licence number must be included in application.

Dear Families & Friends,
Miss Jess will be finishing up as an educator of Medowie Gumnut Preschool this week as she will be focusing on her university studies. We will miss Jess terribly but also wish her a tonne of love and happiness and are excited to see where her next adventure takes her. This isn’t good bye as we will see Jess often and look forward to visits when she is passing by.

We are wearing it yellow for Children’s Ground

Medowie Gumnut Preachool is taking part in Wear It Yellow by organising a fundraiser in National Reconciliation week is a chance to celebrate First Nations culture and take action to help brighten the future for First Nations children and their families.

Wear it Yellow is about coming together to learn, listen and take action for First Nations justice. You can make a difference by Wearing It Yellow and raising funds for First Nations-led education during National Reconciliation Week (27 May - 3 June).

To say I love, respect and appreciate each and everyone of these ladies is an understatement! They are commited and passionate in what they do as educators, they support each other like no other team I have seen and they make our preschool a happy, welcoming, fun and educational place for the little ones in our care. A surprise visit from our Friends; Jason and Kerrie Colours, had our preschool friends learning ab out, and creating their own Coolamons.
Coolamons are multi-purpose shallow vessels or dishes traditionally used by the Aboriginal people to carry water, fruits, nuts and other types of bush tucker

Im absolutley loving the new artwork our friend Jason has just completed in our centre!!!! I also love how our preschool friends decided they would complete their own artworks while watching this evolve from beginning to end. Thank you so much Colours!!! We look forward to seeing you again soon and truly value the connections we have already made with you.
