πΆ An incredible achievement for our Year 8 and 9 Pathfinder students!
Our students recently completed a challenging three-day, two-night down-river canoe expedition, paddling more than 30 kilometres and camping overnight along the riverbank.
The expedition was the culmination of the training and experiences students have undertaken through the Pathfinder Outdoor Program. Through canoe training, shorter journeys and overnight camps, they have progressively developed their paddling skills, campcraft, teamwork, resilience and confidence in the outdoors.
A highlight came on the final morning, when students packed up camp in darkness and fog before setting off down the river as the morning began to break. By lunchtime, they had paddled approximately 17 kilometres!
It was wonderful to hear students reflect on just how far they have come, recognising how much stronger, more confident and capable they have become throughout the program.
A fantastic demonstration of resilience, perseverance, teamwork and growth. Congratulations to our Pathfinder students on this incredible achievement! ππΏ
