Each month, the Centre's rooms take part in a themed learning challenge designed to inspire curiosity and extend children’s interests through meaningful experiences.

August’s challenge, “Read It. Wonder It. Explore It!” 📚🔍, encouraged educators to use a story as a springboard for science and discovery.

Congratulations to our Bottlebrush Room, who followed the children’s interest in farm animals and extended it through stories, experiments and hands-on exploration. 🐮✨

A wonderful morning of community, connection & play!

Our Kidz Magic Capestone team was so excited to join Play Matters Greater Brisbane and fellow community partners at their Community Play Day at Danzy Buchanan Park.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with local families, enjoy some outdoor play and be part of an initiative that celebrates the importance of play in bringing our community together. 🌿☀️

A big thank you to the Play Matters team for organising such a wonderful morning, and to everyone who came along and made it so special!

We’re proud to be part of our local community and look forward to joining more events like this in the future. 💙

We believe children learn best when they are given the opportunity to explore, experiment, and follow their curiosity. ✨

Through intentional play experiences, children are encouraged to discover new ideas and express themselves in meaningful ways. For example, exploring sound through musical instruments and loose parts allows children to experiment with rhythm, movement, and creativity while building confidence in their own abilities. 🎶

These open-ended learning opportunities support the development of communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and self-expression, helping children build the skills they need to thrive.

Our Senior Toddler children at Kidz Magic Capestone turned their imagination into action, transforming old boxes, chairs, and steering wheels into a fantastic bus adventure! 🚌✨

By following their ideas and encouraging their creativity, our educators watched as the children worked together to bring their vision to life, climbing aboard, exploring, and creating their own imaginative journey.

Child-led play provides endless opportunities for children to develop creativity, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and confidence, all while learning through meaningful experiences.

🎨 Check out what our little designers came up with!

With a playground upgrade on the way at Heathwood Kidz Magic Centre, the educators encouraged the children to draw what they’d love to see in their new play space.

This experience doubled as a meaningful learning opportunity, encouraging children to use their imagination, communicate their ideas, and understand that their voices are valued.

Their ideas were creative, colourful, and so sweet! A beautiful reflection of the imaginations that make our centres so special. 💛

Happy International Friendship Day! 💛

Friendships are an important part of childhood. Through shared play, conversations and everyday experiences, children learn how to communicate, cooperate, show empathy and build positive relationships with those around them.

At Kidz Magic, we see friendships forming every day as children learn, explore and grow together. From inviting a friend to join a game to working together on a creative project, these moments help children develop confidence, social skills and a strong sense of belonging.

Today, we celebrate the kindness, laughter and connections that make our centres such special places to learn and grow.

It's National Pyjama Day, and our centres celebrated this important day by raising awareness and support for children in foster care, helping remind us that every child deserves to feel safe, supported and cared for. 🧸💗

Our children and educators embraced the day by arriving in their favourite pyjamas, creating moments filled with connection, kindness and plenty of smiles!

Capestone had an extra special visit from Bella, Koda and Miss Sharon as part of their Therapy Dog Program, who all arrived wearing their own adorable pyjamas for this important occasion 🐶

What an incredible milestone to celebrate! 🎉

Yesterday, our Heathwood team marked 18 years of providing a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

We are so proud of the dedicated educators—past and present—who have helped shape the centre into the welcoming community it is today, and we're grateful to the families who have trusted us to be part of their children's early learning journey.

Congratulations to our Heathwood team on 18 amazing years. Here's to continuing to inspire young minds and support families for many years to come! 💙

We are very excited to be introducing Safer Communities for Children, an initiative developed by Napcan that supports children to learn about safety, express their feelings, and identify the people, places and supports that help them feel secure within their families and communities.

The program is built around seven bush-animal stories, accompanied by simple questions and engaging activities that explore concepts of safety, build confidence and resilience, and encourage children to seek help when needed.

As an organisation committed to the care, wellbeing, and safety of children, Kidz Magic Early Learning continues to invest in meaningful initiatives that place children’s wellbeing at the centre of everything we do.

Engaging with Safer Communities for Children provides our teams with valuable opportunities to support children in developing lifelong skills, strengthening their sense of safety and belonging, and empowering them to confidently express themselves and seek support when needed. There is nothing quite like watching a toddler discover how capable they are. His mission is to build a tower taller than himself. Block after block, wobble after wobble, crash after crash, but he tried again with even more excitement than before. What a cosy and joyful day we’ve had in our kindy room. With the rain tapping on the windows, our little carers spent the morning looking after their dolls.
