Our Midwifery Discipline Lead Amanda Carter has been invited to be a Guest editor for BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth special collection on Midwifery Models of Care. We would encourage researchers, academics, practising midwives and postgraduate students who have conducted research around midwifery models of care to submit a manuscript. Midwifery@Griffith were well represented at the Waves of Change conference. Both Associate Professors Valerie Slavin and Amanda Carter were invited speakers. It was wonderful to see the collaboration between Midwives, Obstetricians, and those with lived experience all aiming to improve outcomes for women and babies.
