Last Wednesday, a select team of Year 5/6 students travelled to Perth to compete in the SSWA Primary Netball Champions Cup.

Our girls competed in 8 highly competitive matches from schools across Perth. With 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 loses.

Throughout the day, the girls demonstrated determination, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship. We are extremely proud of the way they represented MSPS, both on and off the court. Congratulations to our students that competed on the day
A huge thank you to Miss Ross for coaching and dedicating your time for extra training sessions. Thank you to Genevieve and Serene for volunteering your time to assist our girls from the sideline. And thank you to all parents that travelled to Perth to cheer us on. We really appreciate your time and support.

On Thursday we celebrated "No Way Bullying" with some fun activities for our students during their lunch break.
We had chalk drawing, colouring in , wrist bands and bubble blowing.
Our theme was "Kindness". Doing one kind thing can make a big difference in some one's life.

School Sports WA Gareth Naven Eastern Regional Football Championships Cup

Last Friday, a selected team of MSPS students competed in the U12 School Sports WA Gareth Naven Eastern Regional Football Championships Cup, at Lynwood United Football Club, Parkwood.

MSPS showed admirable sportsmanship, determination, and resilience against some tough competition. They represented our school with pride, and I am extremely proud of the way they conducted themselves both on and off the field.

The day was a huge success, with MSPS winning three matches, drawing one and losing one. Coming third in their division.

Congratulations to all students who participated on the day: Braxton (C), Parker (VC), Cade, Ella, Logan, Zeb, Lachlan, Hunter, Mark, Abel, Edward, Mason, William and Jai.

A huge thank you to thank Mr Alvarez for volunteering his time to coach our team for a second time. Once again, we are grateful for your leadership and expertise.

And a shout out to Mr S for his help on the day.

In S3, we show resilience when we cooperate with others. When we play games in sport, or do group work, it feels good when everyone works together as a team. Everyone contributes to share the load and feels valued. "Teamwork makes the dream work!" We succeed together.

Congratulations to all of our students who took part in the Premiers Reading Challenge. Some of the students read over 30 books, which is an amazing achievement. We all know how important reading is and the students should be commended for their efforts. Thank you to the parents who signed up their child and updated their reading log. Well done!

This fortnight, our PBS focus is on being respectful listeners. In J1, we explored what it means to listen respectfully and discussed why it is important for ourselves and our peers. We shared ideas about what good listening looks like, sounds like, and feels like in our classroom. We then created a brainstorm about how it makes us feel when we are truly listened to, including feeling valued, happy, and important. We are working together to practise these skills every day!

Yesterday, our Meadow Springs Primary School Choir attended the Rockingham Senior Choir Festival and absolutely shone on stage. Their incredible rendition of Sing by Pentatonix rocked it!
The festival brought together six schools, with each choir learning their individual parts before coming together to perform six combined songs for an audience of proud family and friends. It was a fantastic celebration of music, teamwork, and dedication.
A huge thank you to our teachers, Mrs Graham, Mrs Nepson, and Mrs Montebello, for preparing and supporting our students. We would also like to thank our parent helpers for their assistance on the day. We are so proud of our talented choir members and the way they represented our school.
