The countdown is on for our school reunions for both the Class of 2005 and the Class of 2015— and they’re shaping up to be big!

Ticket sales have taken off this week, with lots of familiar faces already booked in.

Let’s rewind to 2005 for a splash of nostalgia…

Richard Bruss was principal, “The Sound of Music” hit the stage, the “Ruby Rhinos” became the unstoppable “Ruby Redbacks,” and we launched our junior, middle and senior sub-schools.

We built three pedal prix vehicles (including the legendary “Death Trap” 🚴), filled “Shoeboxes of Love” for tsunami survivors, and cheered at the Marion pool as Topaz took the win at the House Swimming Carnival.

2005 also gave us our first-ever college captains – Emma Borgas and Andrew Brittain – as well as a brand new Year 12 Centre. Importantly, quiche landed on the canteen menu (game changer 😉).

Now it’s time to relive the laughs, the memories and the friendships that made 2005 so special.

🏊 Emerald stole the Swimming Carnival Cup from Topaz (history made!)
🎤 The college’s very first "Lip Synching Battle" had us all laughing and cheering
🚌 Year 7s kicked off the "Canberra trip" tradition
🎭 “Annie Get Your Gun” burst onto the stage as our college musical
✈️ Our ski-loving students hit the New Zealand slopes for a snow-filled adventure
🪑 Harem pants and wine racks were the height of fashion and tech design
🚁 And John Riddell and Jane Doyle from Seven News landed by helicopter to talk journalism!

Now it’s time to make some new memories – together. 💚💛

Old Scholar Molly Walker (Class of 2023) recently travelled to Los Angeles, USA to compete at the TYR Pro Swimming Championships representing the Australian A Team. This was her first time putting on the green and gold cap!

She delivered an incredible performance, bringing home:

🥇 Gold in the 400m Women’s Freestyle — setting a South Australian record and a Personal Best!
🥇 Gold in the 4x200m Women’s Freestyle Relay with her team.
🥈 Silver in the 1500m Women’s Freestyle with a personal best.
🥈 Silver in the 800m Women’s Freestyle with a personal best.

To top it off, both silver-medal swims broke 40-year-old South Australian records!

What an amazing achievement — we’re so proud of you, Molly!

Last Friday we welcomed old scholars from our Class of 2004 back on campus for their twenty-year reunion. Seventeen old scholars and their partners reunited to tour the school and reminisce together about school life. We thank all attendees for making the evening so special.
