EdConnect Australia is a national charity that recruits and trains volunteers to work in local schools with disadvantaged or at-risk young people. Volunteers provide long-term mentoring to individual students, support to teachers in the classroom and aide to schools with special projects and services.

Welcome to our newest EdConnect member schools! 🎉

Our Area Manager Tamara, recently visited Bull Creek Primary School to present their 20 Years of Membership Certificate!

Big Buddies, Little Buddies and big engineering skills!

Last week, the Little Buddies from Inala State School visited their Big Buddies at Cummins in Brisbane as part of our Numeracy Buddies® program.

The visit included an exciting site tour and a hands-on LEGO challenge designed to get those problem-solving and engineering skills going!

And what a fantastic result — the winning team included one student who is still learning English. A wonderful reminder that with the right encouragement and opportunity, every student can shine.

A huge thank you to the Cummins team for creating such a valuable and inspiring experience for our Little Buddies!

Maths, made engaging! Our incredible maths workshop.

Yesterday, our EdConnect volunteers had the opportunity to take part in an engaging and practical maths workshop with the wonderful Dr Paul Swan.

The session received fantastic feedback from our volunteers, who enjoyed gaining new ideas, strategies and resources to support students in their schools.

A huge thank you to Dr Paul Swan for sharing your expertise and facilitating such an informative and inspiring session. We’re grateful for your support in helping our volunteers build their confidence and skills and in term impacting the students we work with.
