Leading up to the US Leadership Study tour, our high school participants managed a number of events to help fund their leadership adventure.
Last week the fundraiser finale was a bake sale across the school. Our students managed it all: planning, baking, sales and marketing!

What a wonderful day of sport, teamwork, and community for our Under 15s students!
Our Netball and Soccer teams gave their best, showed great sportsmanship, and created plenty of memories together. While the results weren’t what they hoped for, we’re so proud of the effort, encouragement, and team spirit shown throughout the day.

A visit our Primary students won’t forget! 👮♂️✨
Our Primary students loved welcoming local police officers for a special visit — getting hands-on with police cars, trying on uniforms, and learning more about the important work they do in our community.

“HCS is at the forefront AI in education” - Bert Verhoeven (UoN)
Students return next week, but our team has been back since Monday: connecting, planning, and preparing for Term 3.
Yesterday, we continued our AI Innovation Learning Labs with Bert Verhoeven from moving from hype to practical, thoughtful use.
Since January our staff have taken part in the HCS AI Innovation Lab, developing their AI skills, using different tools that will help amplify their own teaching methods.
Our staff is building capacity to partner with AI wisely, embracing innovation while keeping learning human and student-centred.
Our aim is simple: to equip our students for life beyond the school gates. We don’t fear change, we embrace tools that will make our students ready for the future.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Grandparents Day, and our classrooms were filled with some very special visitors. 💙
From sharing their learning to proudly showing their grandparents around, these moments captured the joy of students welcoming their loved ones into their everyday school life.
We loved seeing the excitement on students’ faces as they shared their classrooms, their work and a little glimpse into what they’ve been learning. Thank you to all the grandparents who joined us and helped make the day so special. 🤍
