Our Dolphins Studio brought the beloved story Wombat Stew to life through hands-on messy play. Inspired by the story, the children explored, created, and made their very own "Wombat Stew" creations, using their imaginations while engaging their senses. It was a wonderful way to retell a favourite story through creative, play-based learning.

At Sanctuary Maudsland, we have five worm farms. The children help feed the worms with fruit and vegetable scraps from our kitchen.

The worms turn the scraps into nutrient-rich soil, which we use in our garden beds and pots around the centre. This helps reduce waste, supports our gardens, and teaches children about sustainability and caring for our environment.
