How did we celebrate World Environment Day?
The children plants herb & fruit plants. To help children care for the garden beds they named them. For example 'Pete" the Parley herb & 'Rosie' our Rosemary herb. Gardening helps children connect with nature while learning important life skills. This ties in with our worm farming and promotion of sustainability. 🌿

Thank You to Police for visiting our centre today! We believe this opportunity helps reduce fear & build trust. Our children got to meet a Police Officer today in an environment that was comfortable for them. These type of experiences help children recognise police as reliable sources of help. Thank You once again for donating your time.

Looking after chickens teaches young children responsibility & empathy. Through daily, hands-on routines like feeding, collecting eggs, and cleaning, children learn how their actions directly impact the health and happiness of living creatures. Our barn currently caters to 6 chickens of different varieties including Silkies & Rhode Island Reds. Big & small they are dearly loved by our children. Our large grounds means we can take children on daily excursions to our farm & visit the Chickens & Goats without leaving the premises. 🐓🐥🥚

Climbing, swings, and slides help children under five build strength, balance, and coordination through active movement. Risky play teaches young children how to judge challenges, make decisions, and develop confidence in their own abilities. Swings and slides also support sensory development and help children understand speed, movement, and body control. Taking small, supervised risks during play can reduce fear and encourage resilience and independence. Exploring worms in the garden helps children under 5 develop curiosity, confidence and a connection with nature. Digging, touching and observing worms encourages sensory learning, fine motor skills and early science understanding as children discover how living things help our environment grow and thrive.
