🌿💚 Our new garden beds have come to life 💚🌿

Our hearts are so full of gratitude as we celebrate the completion of our beautiful new garden space at Mathoura Preschool.

A very special thank you to Leaves & Vines Nursery Deniliquin for creating our stunning new garden beds. Your generosity, time, and craftsmanship have transformed an empty space into somewhere our children can learn, explore, and make lifelong memories. This garden will become a place where curiosity grows, little hands get dirty, and children develop a love and appreciation for nature.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Bunnings Warehouse Echuca for their incredibly generous donation of seedlings, shovels, rakes, and watering cans. Because of your kindness, our little gardeners have everything they need to begin this exciting journey.

Today was our very first planting day, and seeing the children’s faces light up as they carefully planted seedlings, watered them, and proudly worked together was something truly special. Their excitement, laughter, and sense of accomplishment reminded us just how valuable hands-on learning experiences like these are.

It truly takes a community to help children grow, and we are so grateful to have such wonderful local businesses supporting our preschool. Thank you for helping us create a space that will be enjoyed by many little learners for years to come. 🌱💚🥦🥕🥬

💙❤ 2027 ENROLMENTS ❤💙
Mathoura Public School is now accepting enrolments for 2027. A Kindergarten Information Evening will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, at 7:00 PM in the K/1 Classroom, located on Frome Street, Mathoura. During this session, we will provide information about our Orientation Program, distribute an Information Pack to each family, and answer any questions parents may have regarding their child's transition to primary school or about Mathoura Public School.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 School tours are available every day. Please call the school to arrange a guided tour, allowing you to see our classrooms in action. We look forward to welcoming you and showcasing all that our school has to offer.

A massive thank you to Suttons Bakery Echuca for generously donating the bread for our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle today. Your support helps make community fundraisers like this possible, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity.

✨ Staff spotlight: Molly ✨

We’re so happy to introduce you to one of our amazing Preschool educators, Molly.
Molly is our co-educator in our Blue Parrot group 🦜

Get to know Molly better with a few fun questions:

👩‍🏫 Tell us about your Early childhood education background?

I started working in early childhood when my son was 6 months old, I successfully completed my certificate 3 in 2022 then two weeks later I started studying my diploma of early childhood education and have long since completed that. I have worked in early childhood for around 4.5 years working in childcare centres, sessional kindergarten and relief work. I’ve also worked with young children who have disabilities doing support work so I have gained a lot of experience so far 💃

✨ Favorite children’s book?

The very hungry caterpillar🐛 and where is the green sheep💚

🦊 If you could be any animal for a day?

A cat so I can sleep all day💤🐈

🎵 Go-to classroom song or silly dance?

The Hokey Pokey🙋‍♀️ and rock a bye your bear🐻

🌈 Favorite part of the preschool day?

Coming back from my lunch break and the kids all having big smiles and saying how happy they are I came back😂🥰

🍂Do you prefer Indoor or outdoor play?

Outdoor🏀🏏 unless it’s freezing cold 🥶

Colouring in & puzzles🧩

A huge THANK YOU to the Mathoura Bowling Club for choosing Mathoura Preschool as the recipient of this months Community Keg 🍻

We feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive and generous community. Every dollar raised will go directly back into our preschool — helping us improve resources, enhance our play spaces, and create even more meaningful experiences for our kids.
