On Tuesday afternoon, we welcomed twins... twin lambs, that is! 🐏🐏

Earlier in the day, students in our Alternative Ag farm program watched one of our ewes go into active labour. Mr Kraut taught the group about the signs and signals indicating she was close to delivering her babies. By late afternoon, the farm team could see the ewe was struggling to deliver so Mr Kraut and Ms Hillier stepped in to assist. Together, they safely delivered two healthy baby rams.

🧪 Forensic Science in Action! 🔍

Our Year 11 Science in Practice students are currently working through Unit 2: Forensics – How Gruesome.

This week, students have been getting hands-on with forensic science by investigating the different factors that can affect blood spatter patterns. Through practical experiments, they are exploring how changing different variables can alter the size, shape and distribution of blood spatter and how this type of evidence can be used in forensic investigations.

A great opportunity for students to put their scientific investigation skills into practice!

⚽ Interschool 6-a-Side Soccer Competition ⚽

Last week our Futsal teams put on their Soccer boots for the Interschool 6-a-side Soccer Competition in Hervey Bay. We had 39 students attend and all teams played incredibly well! A big thankyou to Nathan Spencer from Urangan State High School for organising the event.

Congratulations to Cooper on an incredible achievement earlier this month! 🏃‍♂️

Cooper completed the 5km run at the Sunshine Coast Running Festival, joining more than 17,000 participants. Showing great confidence and determination, he completed the event independently while his mum was competing in the 10km race.

This is a fantastic accomplishment, and we are so proud of his effort, perseverance, and positive attitude. Well done, Cooper! 👏🏅🌟
