✨ Twilight Collaborative Workshops ✨

Teaching staff came together on Tuesday afternoon for a twilight collaborative workshop focused on explicit teaching strategies that support learning for every student in every classroom.

Throughout the session, staff engaged in shared practice workshops centered on topics like intentional lesson structuring, effective learning routines, and modelling/design thinking.

The evening concluded with a time of personal reflection, inviting staff to consider how they can each take the next step from “good to great” as they prepare for Term 3.

🎨🖌 Face Painting Workshop 🖌🎨

Last week, some crew and cast members of A Midsummer Night’s Dream were treated to a face painting workshop facilitated by Beke from Wonderbound Face Painting. Students learnt some essential skills to turn our actors into amazing forest fairies!

The 2026 Brisbane Catholic Education Excellence Awards finalists have been announced and we are so proud to announce that we have a finalist!

⭐Congratulations to Karen Wheeler who has been named a finalist in:
🏆The Archdiocesan Property and Building Services Award for Excellence in a School Based Non-Teaching Role

This is an incredible achievement, with only 127 individuals and 22 teams selected as finalists from 633 nominations across 116 schools and the Brisbane Catholic Education Office.

This recognises Karen’s remarkable dedication, outstanding service, leadership and unwavering commitment to our Catholic mission and values.

🏥Maryborough Hospital Experience 🏥

What an experience! From theatre procedure to simulated trauma scenarios, wound care to the preservation of life, Grace and Erica were so fortunate to gain hands-on experience at Maryborough Hospital last Friday 12.06.2026. Along with students from other high schools in the area, these fortunate students enjoyed a hands-on immersion in the worlds of nursing and midwifery.

Under the guidance of clinical educators, the students were able to experience first-hand a range of nursing tasks, from wound care and stapling, to theatre scrubs and suctioning. Any students considering a health pathway in the future are encouraged to make the most of this incredible opportunity.
