We’re so excited to welcome our Centre Director, Amanda, back to Roseberry House as she returns from maternity leave - with her daughter in tow! 🩷

Amanda will officially return to the service from September 7th (Monday).

While Amanda has been away, Jamie-Lee has done a wonderful job stepping into the leadership role. Upon Amanda’s return, Jamie-Lee will continue as our Assistant Director to support our service and our wonderful Roseberry House community.

Amanda would like for us to pass on her excitement to reconnect & meet both existing and unfamiliar families as she eases back into her role.

BOOK WEEK 2026

Our incredible educators have been busy creating a magical Book Week for all our little friends at Roseberry House! ✨

From imaginative & creative experiences to exploring some of our favourite classic stories, it has been a wonderful week filled with so much fun & opportunities for learning as we shared our love for books. 🐛

World Honey Bee Day 🐝

14.08.2026 - Our three year old Kinder friends spent the day celebrating honey bees and beekeepers by learning all about the role they play in our ecosystem through meaningful conversations and hands-on exploration. 🍯

From discovering fossils and investigating dinosaur habitats to engaging in imaginative play & sensory exploration - our Ngur-Ngur and Gurri kinder children have been developing their sense of curiosity, problem-solving skills, and understanding of the world around them as they explore this interest together. 🌿🦴

World Chocolate Day - July 7 🤎

Our children across the centre enjoyed baking delicious chocolate muffins together, while our Batjan-mum and Yula-wil friends explored all things chocolate through sensory play with playdough and shredded paper, as well as imaginative café dramatic play with their peers.

These hands-on experiences encouraged creativity, fine motor development, and collaborative play. 🍪

First Aid Training ⛑️

Last night, our Roseberry House team came together to complete our annual First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis refresher training with Nicole from Rhythm First Aid.

Ongoing professional learning is an important part of ensuring that we can provide a safe and supportive environment for all children in our care. We are so grateful to Nicole for sharing her knowledge and helping our team build the confidence and skills needed to respond in emergency situations. 🩹

NAIDOC CELEBRATIONS 🦘

On June 25th, some of our Ngur-Ngur and Gurri friends were fortunate to attend the local NAIDOC Week celebrations at the Maryborough & District Horse and Pony Club.

Throughout the day, the children participated in a range of engaging cultural experiences, including traditional dancing, a Welcoming Ceremony, Australian animal exploration, playdough and clay activities, and opportunities to explore police cars and ambulances.

These meaningful experiences provided our children with the opportunity to learn about and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures while strengthening their connection to our local community.

A massive thank you to everyone involved in organising such a beautiful event. We are grateful to be part of a community that embraces and celebrates Indigenous culture. 🌿

Roseberry House Kindergarten Open Day ✏️

We are excited to invite families considering 3 or 4-year-old Kindergarten in 2027 to join us for our upcoming Kindergarten Open Day!

Come along to meet our ECTs, explore our learning environments, and learn more about the wonderful programs and opportunities available at our service.
