Today, we encouraged our wonderful families and educators to come dressed in yellow as we came together to recognise Daffodil Day.

We also enjoyed a variety of yellow-themed experiences and activities, creating opportunities to explore, learn and have fun.🌼

🌈 Colour sorting fun! 🌈
Our Senior Toddler children enjoyed exploring colours last week through a hands-on sorting activity. Using a variety of colourful objects, the children carefully matched each item to the corresponding coloured piece of paper.
This engaging activity encouraged colour recognition, problem-solving, concentration, and fine motor skills while having lots of fun. We loved seeing the children confidently identify colours and celebrate their successes with big smiles! ❤️💛💚💙

Strong relationships are the foundation for confident, curious learners 💛

Goodstart’s key educator approach ensures every child is known, supported and feels safe - through consistent, nurturing connections with educators and meaningful partnerships with families. These bonds help build wellbeing, resilience and a true sense of belonging from day one.

📚✨ The joy of books begins in the Early Years! ✨📚
Our Nursery children have been enjoying special moments with books, exploring colourful pictures, listening to stories, and discovering new words along the way.
Reading from an early age helps support language development, listening skills, imagination, and early literacy. Books also encourage curiosity about the world around them while creating opportunities for meaningful connections with educators and peers.

🎶🚒 We were lucky enough to welcome Deano Yipadee to our service last week for a fun-filled musical visit!

The children were delighted as Deano brought his bestselling books to life through songs, storytelling, and plenty of laughter. One of the biggest hits of the day was the catchy "Nee Naw" song, which had everyone singing, waving their arms and joining in with enthusiasm.

Music and storytelling are wonderful ways to support children's language development, confidence, listening skills and creativity. It was fantastic to see so many children actively participating and engaging with the performance.

A big thank you to Deano for sharing such a memorable experience with us. We have no doubt the songs will be stuck in our heads for a little while yet! 🎵😊

🍽️ Making Mealtimes Meaningful 🍽️

Mealtimes are so much more than enjoying food. They are a special time to connect, share conversations (and verbal sounds), build friendships, and create a sense of belonging. Whether it's chatting about favourite activities, sharing a laugh, or simply enjoying each other's company, every meal provides opportunities for meaningful interactions and social learning.

Nursery 1 have so much fun exploring recycled materials during their play! The children are busy twisting and turning lids, stacking containers, and using their imaginations to build and create. 🏗️✨
Through hands-on exploration, the children strengthen their fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity while discovering that everyday recycled items can become exciting play resources.
Who knew a collection of lids and recycled treasures could inspire so much learning and laughter? 😊💚

💙🧸 PJ Day Fun! 🧸💙
Yesterday our little ones rocked their favourite pyjamas to help raise awareness for children in foster care. From fluffy slippers to superhero PJs, there were plenty of smiles, laughter and cosy vibes all around!
Thank you to all our families for supporting this important cause and helping us shine a light on the need for safe, loving homes for children and young people. 💙
