Kids Klub is back and we are going to have lots of fun this term. As long as you like cats?

To finish off the year at kids klub today, we watched a great video combining the whole story of the Good News of the gospel. Dave prayed a beautiful prayer over us all and discussed how God had a plan to send Jesus who died for all the consequences of our wrong human choices and that when he rose again we can be friends with him through his holy spirit. It's such Good News to know how much Jesus loves us all.
Much fun was had with song and dance and particularly during a gigantic series of games with a newspaper. A delicious afternoon tea of party pies and sausage rolls were completed with ice cream cones topped with jelly crystals. Presentations of thanks, gifts to all children and introducing new leaders was a great way to celebrate 2024.

Today at Kids Klub after dancing and seeing some pictures of Dave's trip to Israel, we watched a clip about when Jesus was a 12 year old boy. How Mary and Joseph lost him for 3 days on an annual trip to Jerusalem. When he was found in the temple, he was as chilled out as he was during the storm in the boat as an adult.
We made little doors with paper to add to some printed pictures of places in the bible, so we could play our own version of 'Where's Jesus'. After some afternoon tea, we went over to the church and played several massive games of hide and seek. It was fun.

This week at Kids Klub, Dave showed us pictures from his trip to Israel many years ago. We saw pictures of Dave with the King David statue, camel riding, on a boat on the dead sea near Jericho and a dug up a boat that's been preserved for 2000 years

We watched a story about when Jesus asked his disciples to take a boat trip and a wild storm arrived. Jesus was fast asleep when the other men were freaking out but
Jesus knew that Father God would keep them safe. Jesus calmly walked to front of the boat and commanded the storm to "Be still". He cancelled the storm because he trusts in God.

When you have Jesus in your life he wants to and has the power to look after you. You can have peace. Being a Christian is a 'peace of cake'.

We played a fun port/starboard game and made our very own boats from a variety of colourful materials and had a floating competition.

Welcome back to Kids Klub!
This term we will be taking a tour around Israel to see places where Jesus did miracles.
Today we learned that the Romans built pools for people to bath in because they didn't have showers and baths.
When Jesus visited the Pool of Bethesda, he found a man that had been sick for 38 years.
Sick, blind and paralysed people thought they could get healed from a fake story about the pool water, but we learned that Jesus is the true healer and the man was restored. With such grace, Jesus wants to heal our hearts too. Ontop of a fun 'pool related' game that involved cups of water ending up on kids heads, a new dance, afternoon tea and shooting some hoops, we designed our very own playing instructions for a snake's and ladders style game with the aim of getting to the pool first.
PS - Charlie may have made an appearance disguised as a sheep🤣
