What a wonderful celebration to finish another fantastic term!

Our talented children proudly stepped onto the stage for their end-of-term concerts, filling Marsden Early Learning College with music, dancing, laughter and joy. 🎤💃🕺

Each performance reflected the children’s creativity, confidence and enthusiasm as they proudly shared what they had been learning and practising throughout the term.

These special concerts are about much more than performing—they encourage self-expression, teamwork, communication, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.

Congratulations to all our amazing young performers! A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated educators and specialist teachers for helping every child feel confident, celebrated and ready to shine. 👏✨

💛😊 R U OK? – LITTLE CONVERSATIONS CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE 😊💛

Today, our children at Marsden Early Learning College joined Australians around the country in recognising R U OK? Day.

For our little learners, today's message was simple and meaningful: be kind, notice how our friends are feeling, listen to one another and know that it's always okay to ask for help.

Through stories, discussions, art and friendship activities, children explored different emotions and practised ways of checking in with one another.

🌻 What does a happy face look like?
🌻 How might we know when our friend needs some kindness?
🌻 Who can we talk to when we're worried?
🌻 What can we do to help someone feel included?

Building these skills from an early age helps children develop empathy, emotional awareness, positive friendships and a strong sense of belonging.

And while today is R U OK? Day, checking in, listening and showing kindness are things we can practise every day. 💛

There's another special week ahead at Marsden Early Learning College!

On Thursday, 10 September, we will recognise R U OK? Day, adapting its important message into meaningful, age-appropriate learning for our children.

Our focus will be simple: notice how others are feeling, be kind, include our friends and know that we can always talk to a trusted grown-up.

Through stories, art, conversations and friendship activities, children will explore emotions and practise simple ways of caring for one another.

💬 “Are you OK?”
🤝 “Can I help you?”
💛 “Come and play with us.”

These little conversations can help nurture empathy, belonging and strong relationships from the earliest years.

It was the perfect conclusion: first talking about why live music must be supported and preserved, and then hearing that music come alive.

It was also a privilege to share this special ABC Radio occasion with Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Logan Mayor Jon Raven.

Our commitment to education extends beyond our College gates. By supporting Logan City Orchestras, we are investing in musicians, artistic development, cultural opportunities and a musical legacy for the children of today and the generations who will follow. The Orchestra's own mission includes developing local talent, creating pathways and engaging the Logan community through orchestral music.

🎙️🎼 FROM EARLY LEARNING TO THE SYMPHONY – LIVE ON ABC RADIO 🎼🎙️

Today was a special moment for our Marsden Early Learning College community as Georgiana Karam, founder of Australian Early Learning Colleges, was interviewed live on ABC Radio about the story behind our support of the Logan City Orchestra.

During the five-minute live interview, Georgiana shared why Australian Early Learning Colleges chose to become a driving supporter and Major Sponsor from the Orchestra’s inception—helping an ambitious idea for Logan become a thriving cultural reality. Public accounts of the Orchestra's beginnings recognise Georgiana as a key sponsor whose support, together with volunteers and government grants, helped the vision become a reality.

The motivation goes far beyond sponsorship.

We believe children need music, creativity and culture as part of their development. We want the next generation to know the sound of a violin, cello, trumpet and full orchestra—not only through a recording, but through the unforgettable experience of hearing musicians perform live.

And we want to play our part in ensuring that classical music and traditional instruments continue to have a living, vibrant future for our children and generations to come. 🎻❤️

Established in 2025 under founder and conductor Dr Lewes Peddell, the Logan City Symphony Orchestra has rapidly developed into a 70-plus-member ensemble and an important new part of Logan's cultural landscape.

Sharing the ABC Radio program with Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Logan Mayor Jon Raven made an already proud occasion even more memorable.

We are enormously proud that our commitment to educating young minds extends beyond our College gates and into supporting the arts, musicians and cultural life of the wider community.

🌭⚽🎉 A FANTASTIC FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATION! 🎉⚽🌭

What a morning we had at Marsden Early Learning College!

Our outdoor spaces were buzzing as dads and children played, built, created and explored together. From kicking the soccer ball and construction play to art experiences and our fun Father’s Day photo frame, there were smiles everywhere we looked.

After all that activity, families came together to enjoy our Father’s Day BBQ, giving everyone an opportunity to relax, share food and enjoy the wonderful community atmosphere.

We loved seeing our dads getting involved—not simply watching from the sidelines, but sitting on the floor, picking up the blocks, joining the activities and entering into their children's world. 💚

Thank you to every dad and special father figure who joined us. Your presence made today special for your children, and for all of us.

🎨💚 CREATING MEMORIES WITH DAD 💚🎨

Today was all about dads, children and precious moments together at Marsden Early Learning College!

Our Father’s Day celebration gave children the opportunity to welcome their dads and special father figures into their learning environment and proudly show them what they love to do.

Together they drew, painted, created Father’s Day artwork, explored construction and building experiences and shared plenty of conversation and laughter along the way.

What made the morning so special wasn't the finished artwork—it was seeing children and their dads sitting together, talking, creating and enjoying each other's company. Those are the moments children remember. ❤️

Thank you to all our wonderful dads, grandfathers and special father figures for making the time to celebrate with us.
