Decided to make our professional work wear more fun. More themes to come …. ✨ Can you guess who is who?

Year 9 ideating their ideas on what problems there are in the world that they want to solve. 🌎 These ideas are to assisting them on their journeys to channel into becoming an entrepreneur for a social enterprise business from the program. It might be a lot of posted notes but damm the level of engagement, participation and generation of ideas was worth it! 🙌🏼💜

Enterprising our student’s future 💫 In Year 9 we are planning for Term 2 to assist our students in their entrepreneurial thinking and innovative ideas for what problems they want to solve and knowing themselves as an individual.
Our school is lucky to have again as we were blown away from our session with her for our staff PD last year. Now we can to get to use her expert knowledge and guidance to getting these students to an incredible state of mind about their future - which we are currently moulding and applying to them. Very excited for the term to come and the planning was super exciting to do which is a first! Love my team and what we can offer to the students this year 💜

Best class to finish my primary school journey with and the most incredible teaching partner, truly grateful in so many ways.

As a educator it is always good to reflect on the year that has been one to remember 🍎 As a school community we take the time during our PLM to sit down and reflect on these questions:

What is something that was hard for you at the start of the year but is easy now? Going into a new school and even back to teaching in Australian schools it’s always an obstacle to learn the routines and understanding the way the school operates, however it was easy for myself to settle in by term 2 and now it’s become part of my daily memory bank to understand the routine and now be a role model for the school community.

In what area do you feel you made your biggest improvements? I believe my biggest improvements was classroom and behaviour management, seeing my class to where they are now even with lockdown just goes to show how important those first couple of weeks count at the beginning of the year.

What was the most challenging part of this year for you? The ideal answer would be lockdown however it was actually the return back to school and finding a balance of anxious children and knowing what to assess and finalise before the end of the year. It was hard to work in an unknown environment of what’s next.

What is something you individually accomplished this year that you are proud of? I am incredibly proud of how as a teacher I’ve been able to make an impact on the students lives. It sounds like a repeated or obvious answer but it’s very true.

What is something that you learnt from a fellow colleague this year? I am very lucky that l work with so many incredible people around me and I’ve had a great teaching partner who I’ve become really close with. We always bounced ideas off each other and I learnt how to work together as a dynamic team.

The mask won’t stop me from educating these kids! ✨ Feeling absolutely blessed to be back in the classroom and seeing their smiley faces again!

Excitement is an understatement 😍🍎 Can’t wait to return on Monday and finally see our kids face to face and doing what we do best in the classroom!

Connected learning 2.0 💻
What a term these children have experience with becoming zoom experts and up skilling our online teaching practices. It’s been incredible to see how adaptable families have been to understand the different circumstances of change and allow us to continue to teach them in the best way possible. One of the interesting challenges has been how to keep them engaged and interested during these online zoom meetings. There has been games, dress ups, scavenger hunts, kahoots and capturing a photo every day to look back on our time together. The key to my mission as a teacher and duty of care of these children was their check in with their overall well-being. I would rather spend more time checking in with them and finding out about their family pets names and what they had for breakfast then pushing content onto them. I believe that the connection I have now with these kids is incredible. Coming to the end of this term and in the unknown of what next term will bring I hope to continue to bring joy, laughter and excitement for learning over the next chapter of connected learning 2.0.

Virtual escape room 👮‍♀️🚨 Looking forward to spending the afternoon with staff members solving a crime that happened at our school (not literally). Let’s see who is the smooth criminal? ⚠️

Funny hat challenge! 🎩 Our class are enjoying online learning and they get excited for our fun challenges for the day. It was also great to see some dogs, cats and rabbits visiting our class zoom meetings. 🐶 🐈 🐰
