Meet Our Assistant Director – Charu! 🌟
We are excited to introduce Charu, our Assistant Director at Goodstart Early Learning – Blackstone Street!
With over 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, Charu brings passion, knowledge, and dedication to her role. Her journey began in 2016 as a trainee, and through her commitment to learning and professional growth, she progressed from completing her Diploma to achieving her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and becoming a Proficient Early Childhood Teacher.
Charu believes that every child is unique, capable, and an active leader in their own learning. She is passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and nurturing environments where children feel confident to explore, make choices, and grow across all areas of development.
As a leader, Charu values teamwork, reflective practice, mentoring, and continuous improvement. She strives to lead by example with integrity, professionalism, and a genuine passion for children, families, and lifelong learning.

At Goodstart Elara Blackstone Street, we know that regulation comes before learning. 🧠💛
Drawing on Occupational Therapy (OT) practices, we use purposeful sensory input to help children understand what their bodies need and support them to move towards a calm, regulated state.
Our sensory room provides opportunities for children to explore movement, touch, balance, deep pressure and other sensory experiences in a safe and supportive environment. 🌈🧩🤸‍♀️
When children are regulated and their brains are ready to learn, they can better engage, connect, communicate, problem-solve and participate in everyday experiences.
Because sometimes, learning doesn’t start with sitting still…
it starts with helping the body feel ready! 💫

I’m so excited to introduce myself as the **Centre Director** at Goodstart Early Learning Elara – Blackstone Street.

My name is Tiffany, and I’ve proudly been part of the Goodstart family for 15 years. Throughout my journey, I've had the privilege of working in a variety of leadership and educator roles, all driven by one passion—creating safe, nurturing, and inspiring environments where children can truly thrive.

At the heart of my leadership philosophy is a strong belief in the Circle of Security and Attachment Theory. I believe that when children feel safe, secure, and genuinely connected with the adults around them, they develop the confidence to explore, learn, build relationships, and reach their full potential. Every child deserves to know they have trusted adults who are there to support, guide, and celebrate them every step of the way.

I’m passionate about building meaningful partnerships with our families and community, supporting our incredible educators, and creating a warm, welcoming community where everyone feels they belong.

There’s something truly special about bringing generations together! 💛🎈
Each month, our preschool children look forward to visiting our local aged care residents as part of our wonderful intergenerational program. These moments are filled with laughter, learning, and meaningful connections that brighten everyone's day.

Today, the children teamed up with the residents for a fun game of Keepy Uppy! Using halved pool noodles, everyone worked together to keep the balloon floating high and off the floor. There were plenty of smiles, giggles, and cheering as young and old encouraged one another.

These beautiful shared experiences help build friendships, create lasting memories, and remind us that fun has no age limit! 💕🎈✨

Last week we had the pleasure of linking up with Northbourne Public School and Melonba Public School to chat all about the exciting transition to "big school"! 🎒✨
It was wonderful to see so many families come along, ask thoughtful questions, and get involved in the conversation. The information evening was full of great discussions, helpful tips, and plenty of excitement for the journey ahead.

When we read with a child, we’re doing far more than sharing a story. We’re building the foundations for language, confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
