Melonba Public School has been selected for one of the 100 new public preschools to be built by 2027.

Melonba Public Preschool will operate on the same days and during the same school terms as Melonba Public School.

We invite our community to complete an Attendance Pattern Survey by Monday, 26 October.

Your feedback will help us make an informed decision on which attendance pattern will be offered in 2027.

🗣️📚Student Voice at Melonba Public School

At Melonba PS, we value the voices of our students and recognise that they have an important role to play in shaping our school.

Through our Melonba PS Student Parliament, students share their ideas, raise issues that matter to them and contribute to conversations that help inform decision-making across our school.

One great example of student voice in action has been the introduction of our new shade cover. ☀️

We are proud to see our students having a genuine voice in creating positive change at Melonba PS. 🌱💜

💙 Father’s Day Breakfast & Jersey Day 🏉

Last Friday, we celebrated Father’s Day at Melonba Public School with a wonderful Father’s Day Breakfast and Jersey Day!

It was fantastic to see so many dads, uncles, grandfathers and special people joining us for a morning of connection, conversation and community.

Our Doughnuts for Dads were a hit, with plenty of smiles and happy faces as our families enjoyed breakfast together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning such a special celebration of the important role that dads and father figures play in the lives of our students.

We loved seeing our Melonba community come together! 💙🏉🍩

🌟School Administrative and Support Staff Appreciation Week!🌟

Last week, during SASS Week, we proudly celebrated our School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS). Our office staff, school learning support officers, cleaners, and grounds staff are the heart of Melonba Public School.

Their hard work, kindness, and commitment make a daily difference for students, families, and staff. Whether it's supporting teachers, caring for students, or managing behind-the-scenes tasks, our SASS staff ensure that our school is a place where everyone can thrive.

Thank you to all our wonderful SASS team members.

🌟 Student Voice in Action🌟

Our Melonba Public School Captains proudly represented our school at the South Creek SRC, where students explored the importance of feedback in learning.

Our captains shared ideas about how students can use feedback to improve their learning and confidently share their thoughts about teaching and learning, knowing their voices are valued and heard.

We are so proud of their leadership and contribution to student voice across our network! 💜

We are so proud of our Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 Dance Groups, along with our Stage 3 Choir, who represented our school with so much talent and enthusiasm at The Hills Performing Arts Festival.
It was wonderful to see our students singing and dancing on stage. Thank you to our dedicated teachers who volunteered their time to support our performers, and to our amazing parents for allowing your children to be part of this special event. Congratulations to all involved! 🎤💃🎉

Bullying. No Way! Week 💜

Last week, Melonba Public School joined schools across NSW to recognise Bullying. No Way! Week, with this year’s theme: “Small Acts, Big Impact.”

Throughout the week, our students explored how small acts of kindness, inclusion, respect and courage can make a big difference to someone else’s day and help create a school where everyone feels safe, valued and supported.

From including someone in a game to standing up for a friend, small actions can have a big impact. 💜

Together, we can make a difference and show that at Melonba PS, Bullying. No Way!
