House Points Update... and what a competition it has been!

Next Monday at assembly we will celebrate our top House Point recipients and announce the winning house - which will enjoy a BBQ lunch on the last day of school.

Students earn House Points by demonstrating school values, representing Marrickville HS, maintaining strong attendance, showing leadership, and making progress in their assessments. Approaching its third year, the MHS House Points System continues to strengthen connections and engagement across our school community.

Good luck to all the houses – see you at the assembly!

Our Mathematics Stretch Club is all about challenging and engaging students who love maths - whether they are passionate learners or identified as HPGE. Recently our students took part in a creative Escape Room, solving puzzles and putting their maths and problem-solving skills to the test. The energy, teamwork and sense of achievement were fantastic to see!

Mathematics Stretch Club is on every Thursday from 3.05pm until 4.20pm. To get involved see Mr Penman in the Mathematics Faculty.

On Friday, Year 11 Hospitality put their service skills into practice by cooking up a delicious BBQ brekkie for the tradies working hard on our school hall. It was a fantastic way to show appreciation, and the tradies loved it!

We couldn’t be prouder of Year 9 student Poppy, who has been selected by Gymnastics NSW to join the State Team and compete in Queensland next week at the Border Challenge Competition! Poppy trains 4 to 5 times a week, with each session lasting 4 to 5 hours - a testament to the discipline required at this level. Congratulations, Poppy!
