🌿 Bush Kindy Reflection 🌿
Today at Bush Kindy, we spent time exploring and connecting with the natural environment. We also enjoyed a fun parachute activity, working together, moving our bodies and sharing lots of smiles and laughter! 🪂😊
As we made our way back to the centre, the children noticed rubbish along the track. They immediately showed care and concern for the bush and decided that next time we visit, we would like to bring bags and clean up the area together. 🌱🗑️
Back at the centre, we gathered for a reflection about our experience. We talked about what we saw, heard and noticed, how many times we have visited our Bush Kindy area, and what we would like to explore and do on our next visit.
It was wonderful to see the children developing a sense of belonging, responsibility and care for Country, while sharing their ideas and making plans for future learning. 💚🌿

At our recent staff meeting, we explored Summative Assessments and how they help us capture each child’s learning journey through a strengths-based approach, EYLF outcomes, and SMART goals.
🧩 We also unpacked Schemas and discussed how understanding children’s interests, behaviours, and patterns of play helps us create meaningful learning experiences that extend their development.
By reflecting on our practice and deepening our knowledge, we continue to provide high-quality learning opportunities for every child. 🌱💛
🎭💛 Camp Quality Puppet Show 💛🎭
Today, our children were captivated by a special Camp Quality Puppet Show, sharing a meaningful story about courage, friendship, and hope for children affected by cancer. 🌟
Through fun characters, laughter, and interactive storytelling, the children learned the importance of kindness, inclusion, and supporting one another during difficult times. The show encouraged empathy and reminded us that even small acts of care can make a big difference.
A wonderful experience that inspired smiles, understanding, and compassion in our learning community.

This week, the ECA NT Committee was delighted to host a professional development evening with Gee van der Watt from Neurominded.
The session explored Empowering Educators with a Neuro-affirmative Framework, providing valuable insights and practical strategies to support inclusive, strengths-based practice in early childhood education.
It was wonderful to bring together educators from across the Northern Territory to learn, connect, and strengthen our collective commitment to creating inclusive environments where every child can thrive.
