“Can we make a hexagon?” became the question that sparked today’s learning. Using straw sticks, the children explored, experimented and brought their own hexagon creations to life through play.

You know Li is around when you hear children's laughter and feel the love in a room. 🧡

Early childhood is an industry that asks everything of you. It takes heart. It takes dedication. It takes a depth of compassion that not everyone has. Li embodies all of it, every single day, and has done for 12 beautiful years.

She has led our preschool, guided our toddler team, and now shines as our Nursery and Toddler Centre Manager. But titles aside, what makes Li truly special is something far simpler and far greater than any role she holds.

It is the way our littlest ones find comfort in her. The way she reassures them, makes them feel safe, and helps them settle into a world that is still so big and new and overwhelming. Children do not just like Li. They trust her. And in early childhood, that is everything.

Li also brings a beautiful passion for yoga into our centre, and has been introducing our little ones to the magic of mindfulness. We have to say, we have spotted Li in some very impressive yoga positions along the way! 🧘

We are so lucky to share these special days with her. Li can look back with so much pride at every child who has passed through her care, knowing she made a real and lasting difference in each of their lives.

A person with such dedication, loyalty and heart is hard to find. That is a legacy worth celebrating.

Sometimes the most meaningful learning happens when children lead the way.

What began as a colour exploration experience quickly turned into something much more. The children became fascinated by the reflections created by the sun and started noticing how the transparent containers changed the colours and light around them.

Through curiosity and conversation, we explored reflections, light, colour and transparency together. It was a beautiful reminder that some of the richest learning opportunities happen when we pause, follow children’s ideas and see where their thinking takes us.
