IN THE NEWS
If you’re a parent, seeing these headlines is confronting.
Behind every story is a young person, a family, and a reminder of the world our kids are growing up in.
Martial arts can teach physical skills. But we believe its greatest value goes far beyond that.
It’s about Self Control, Confidence, Resilience, Respect, Empathy, and Leadership - to name a few.
It’s about helping young people make good decisions when we’re not there to make them for them. By providing them instructors who serve as role models and leaders. Inspiring them to be the best version of themselves.
Because martial arts isn’t just about learning how to defend yourself.
It’s about learning how to conduct yourself.
At JAI, we’re not trying to build better fighters.
We’re trying to build better people.

It starts with, "I can't". Just once.
Then it becomes repetitive behaviour.
In our decades of working with children, we find that every child is different. There is no 'one size fits all' approach to teaching - and not every child walks on the mats ready to learn independently.
Some kids are shy. Reluctant to be away from their parent and scared of participating.
They need a different approach.
You don't feel Confidence.
It's built. It's developed. It's nurtured.
If this sounds like your little one, reach out.

It doesn't start with, "I'm being bullied".
In our decades of working with children, we find that the child being bullied isn't necessarily the weakest, or the most disliked. They're just a target.
They freeze.
No words.
No reaction.
They lack confidence.
If this sounds familiar, reach out.
