As you can see we have officially changed our name. Everything else is still the same; we'll also keep MOS, as well as NWOC for the next twelve months until everyone gets used to the change.

The next Meet the Mayor will take place on Friday 19 June from 4-6pm.

Come along to Highpoint Shopping Centre near the Riverbank Food court on level 3 to have a chat with Mayor, Cr Mohamed Semra about our City.

🚨 It's World Elder Abuse Awareness Day , today 15 June.

We join communities across Australia and the world to raise awareness about elder abuse and to reaffirm the right of every older person to live free from harm, discrimination and neglect.

Elder abuse take many forms, including:
• financial abuse
• emotional or psychological abuse
• physical abuse
• social isolation
• neglect

By starting conversations, increasing awareness and strengthening support networks, we can work to ensure older Australians feel safe, valued and heard. 💯

Join us for a free facilitated loose parts play session where young and old, and all ages in between can explore, experiment, and create using a huge range of materials they can pull apart, rebuild, and transform into anything they imagine.

🧍‍♂As part of Men's Health Week, we invite men to come and join us for a lunch on 16th of June. It will be a chance to develop new connections, share knowledge, and learn about programs and activities that are available to men in our community. Bring a mate or arrive solo, we would love to see you there.

Time for a clean-out?

Declutter your garage and responsibly dispose of unwanted household items at Council’s next Hard Rubbish Drop-off Event on Sunday 21 June 2026.

Due to high demand at our previous event, residents are asked to submit an expression of interest for an allocated timeslot throughout the day. This will help reduce waiting times and keep traffic moving smoothly in and out of the Resource Recovery Centre.
