Last week, we joined Gunggadji Aerospace and AFL Cape York House for Aviation on the Oval in Cairns, the official launch of 'Raising Horizons' in Cairns. Our Training Centre team had some fun sharing VR experiences, Nautilus Aviation landed a helicopter on the oval, and about 100 boys and girls - students from boarding colleges who come from communities across Cape York and the Torres Strait - spent the afternoon engaging directly with people working across aviation on their own grounds.
We have a big heart for remote communities and we believe aviation is a tool that can change lives. We see it every day in our work across Arnhem Land communities in the NT and around the world. The day was a reminder that the next generation from communities like this are ready and eager to be part of the industry that serves them.
Thanks Gunggandji Aerospace for creating opportunities that help young people see what is possible for them, and to AFL Cape York House for welcoming industry onto your oval and into your community!
