If you’ve been feeling a bit weighed down by the winter blues, there’s no better way to shake them off than to take up Street Latin Dancing! Embrace the energy of spring and start a fun new activity that has so many benefits, physically, mentally, emotionally and socially!

Come and try my beginner-friendly Salsa and Bachata class. It’s on every Sunday at 3pm at St. Thomas’ Hall, 15 Lawrence St., North Ipswich.

Every class is an hour long. We start with Salsa and at the half hour swap to Bachata. Salsa is a bit faster and sassier, and Bachata is a bit slower and more sensual. They’ll get your endorphins pumpin’ and your heart-rate jumpin’!

There’s no need to book and no need to bring a partner, just bring yourself and a comfortable pair of shoes. As long as the soles aren’t too gripping and will let you turn on the spot, they’ll be fine.

It’s $15 per class payable in cash at the beginning of class.

I'm very happy to announce that the Salsa and Bachata class at St. Thomas' Hall, North Ipswich is going to continue indefinitely!!

The 6 week course has come to an end but the fun on the dancefloor is just getting started! This hour-long class every Sunday at 3pm is specifically for raw beginners and more advanced dancers who just want to practice the basics. Don't worry if you can't make every class and can only drop in occasionally. This class is perfect for that. We always start by revising the basics and then add some slightly more complex elements.

We’ll start with Salsa and at the half hour swap to Bachata. This way you can get a feel for the rhythms and steps of both dances and keep them both fresh in your mind week to week. Salsa is a bit faster and sassier, and Bachata is a bit slower and more sensual. Come along and find out if Street Latin is your new passion in life!!

Salsa and Bachata Class is on today at 3pm, St. Thomas' Hall, North Ipswich!! This is the 3rd class of the 6 week beginner course, but don't let that put you off if you've missed classes. We always revise the basics and learn one or two new beginner moves all together. You'll be just fine!

In the first half hour we'll go over the turns sequence in Salsa and then we're gonna learn the 'cross body lead' and the 'enchufla'.

In the second half hour we'll put the natural and reverse turns we've learned into a sequence and then we're gonna add the 'pretzel'. It's very yummy😉

Calling all men who can move! Special Promotion Announcement!

We’re 2 weeks into the 6 week Salsa and Bachata Beginner Course and it’s such a blast! Dancing is just so good for you in every way: it keeps you fit, it keeps your neuro-pathways firing, it lifts your mood and you get to meet other lovely people.

For some strange reason though, I usually get more ladies than men who are interested in this amazing activity😏

As a special offer for the next 4 classes:

If you are a lady, every time you bring a new guy to class you will both only pay $5 each (It’s usually $15 each).

If you are a guy and you come along by yourself, you will also only pay $5 for your first class.

So come along to St. Thomas’ Hall in North Ipswich at 3pm this Sunday! Don’t worry if you’ve missed classes, we always start by reviewing the basics and then learning something new. See you there!!

Don't forget Salsa and Bachata classes are starting this Sunday 14th at 3pm at St. Thomas' Hall in North Ipswich!!

We're starting with a 6 week beginner course. Every week in these hour-long classes, we'll learn beginner friendly steps and sequences for both dances.

Don't worry if you can't make it to all the classes just come along to those you can. We'll do a warm-up/recap every class so everyone is up to speed. Please wear comfortable shoes that won't grip the floor too much, trainers and dress shoes are fine. It's $15 for the hour or $80 for all 6 classes, cash only.

There's no need to book and no need to bring a partner, but if you do have one, please bug them mercilessly until they agree to come along, he he😏

I have exciting news! Salsa classes are starting again, this time at a beautiful new venue: St. Thomas’ Hall, 15 Lawrence St., North Ipswich. I am running a 6 week beginner course for Salsa and Bachata starting on Sunday 14th June. The class will be an hour long starting at 3pm.

Every class we’ll start with Salsa and at the half hour swap to Bachata. This way you can get a feel for the basic rhythms and steps of both dances side by side. They are both Street Latin dances and have a similar overall style. Salsa is a bit faster and sassier, and Bachata is a bit slower and more sensual. Come along and find out if Street Latin is your new passion in life!!

It’s $15 per class payable in cash at the beginning of class, or $80 if you’d like to pay upfront for all 6 classes (That’s a $10 discount). Don’t worry if you can only make it to a class here and there, we’ll always do a little recap at the beginning so everyone can keep up. Wear comfortable shoes, something with a sole that won’t grip the floor too much as sassy spins are compulsory!
