Mansfield Kindergarten
Mansfield Kindergarten provides high-quality education to 3- and 4-year-old kinder children.
We are a child safe centre and are committed to creating a nurturing, protective and inclusive environment where children feel safe, respected, and supported. We acknowledge the Taungurung people, the traditional owners of the land on which our kindergarten stands. Taungurung were the first people of the rivers, valleys and mountains in this region. Our kindergarten is proud to have published a Re

It was such a wonderful day filled with songs, stories, laughter, delicious scones and plenty of special moments shared between our children and their grandparents.

Our 4-year-old Baawang group soaking up a little winter warmth around the fire 🔥❄️
There’s nothing quite like gathering together on a chilly day, enjoying the warmth and sharing stories.
And the big question on everyone’s mind… will there be marshmallows?

A huge thank you to the wonderful families who came along on Friday to lend a hand after we made the decision to cancel Saturday's Working Bee due to the forecast bad weather.
Together, they spread tanbark, tackled a range of small jobs around the kinder, and helped keep our outdoor spaces looking their best for the children. We truly appreciate everyone who gave up their time to help.
A special thank you to Alpine Garden Supplies for their generous donation of the tanbark, and to Mansfield Bobcat Hire for providing the equipment to help get the job done. Your support makes a real difference to our kinder community.
We're so grateful for the generosity and community spirit of everyone involved. 💚

There is something truly special about children having the freedom to explore the natural world.
In our Earth Kinder program, every puddle becomes an adventure, every fallen tree invites imagination, and every open space sparks curiosity. As children spend time outdoors, they are not only building confidence, resilience, creativity, and problem-solving skills—they are also developing a meaningful connection to Country.
By slowing down, observing, listening, and caring for the environment around them, children learn that Country is more than a place. It is living, connected, and something to be respected and cared for. These experiences help foster a sense of belonging, and appreciation for the land we learn and play on.
Whether they're splashing through muddy puddles, climbing fallen trees, or exploring the open spaces, every adventure is an opportunity to learn through play and deepen their connection with nature.
Sometimes the best classroom has no walls at all. 🌿💚
Today, on National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day 🖤💛❤️, we are proud to share a collection of our children's Acknowledgement of Country from across our kinder classes.
Each class has taken the time to learn the meaning behind an Acknowledgement of Country and why it is important to show respect for the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn, play and grow.
Hearing these words spoken through the voices of our children reminds us that respect, belonging and caring for Country begin in the early years. We are honoured to support children in building an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and the continuing connection to Country.
Happy National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day. 🌿

🦅 Today, Amy shared the beautiful story of “Bundjil and Waa” with her Gaan group. Story sharing like this is a powerful pillar of the 8 Aboriginal Ways of Learning framework, offering a wonderful opportunity for our children to explore new narratives, and learn together through the art of storytelling.
