We don’t get to offer this one very often.

This Saturday, we’re welcoming 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 from 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 to MACE for a practical, hands-on self-defence workshop - and we won’t get to have Howard back for another session until 2027!

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 to see Howard demonstrate some of the practical skills he’ll be covering on Saturday. 👇

A quick heads-up before watching: this video includes demonstrations of physical confrontation, including grabs and restraints, which some people may prefer not to view.

With more than 25 years’ experience, Howard’s approach isn’t about being fit, strong or knowing how to fight. It’s about knowing what you can do if you’re grabbed, restrained or find yourself in a situation where you feel unsafe.

Most importantly, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲. All genders, all abilities and no previous experience required — just a supportive, inclusive environment where you can learn practical skills and build confidence.

Our Thursday night Zumba crew is kicking off again at MACE from 8 October, and we’d love to see some new faces joining us!

Zumba with Isadora is fun, energetic and suitable for all levels. You don’t need to be a dancer, you don’t need to know the moves, and you definitely don’t need to take yourself too seriously. Just turn up, follow along and have a good time!

Our Repair Café is returning to the Mansfield Community Shed (20B Early Street), with our skilled volunteers on hand to help repair everyday items, share their know-how and hopefully give your things a new lease on life.

Led by Xiomara, originally from Argentina and now part of the Mansfield community, these classes are relaxed, social and focused on practical, everyday Spanish you can actually use.

You’ll learn through conversation, build your skills week by week and have plenty of laughs along the way.

Our next Welding course kicks off on Thursday 8 October, and with just a couple of places remaining, now’s the time to jump in.

Designed for beginners, this practical four-week course gives you hands-on experience in both MIG and Arc welding with experienced trainer Gino.

Whether you want to tackle jobs around the farm, fix things at home, start a new hobby or simply learn a seriously useful skill, you’ll get plenty of time on the tools and one-on-one guidance along the way.

No previous experience is needed, and all major safety equipment is provided.
