Merry Christmas and happy new year to all our wonderful customers and clients.

We will be open wed/thurs/Friday although with minimum staff.

We were also broken into last night which means that there may be more disruptions to the services we normally provide. We are still assessing the damage and working out what items have been stolen and/or damaged.

If you can refrain from any uneccesary transactions this week that would be great as our resources in terms of staffing is limited. And/or please be patient as we work through the problem solving process.

We still have a lot of parcels that need collecting so please make sure you have your photo identification available upon request.

Public announce everyone in the Edge Hill Whitfield Manoora areas. We have an enormous backlog of deliveries which we are currently struggling to store in our PO. Some of them are very large and heavy and take up lots of space. If you are able to come and collect or send someone else if possible (they need your written permission with name/address). Please make sure you have your drivers licence available.

And please.. if you don’t need to send it.. can you please wait until next week. The likelihood of your parcel getting to its location before Christmas is zero at this stage. Possible …: if it’s express but NOT LIKELY due to flight cancellations and airport being closed.

Please be patient with staff. Some of us have left our homes in Holloway’s Beach (one of the lucky ones) to service your requirements. We are talking ‘third world’ problems in some areas of cairns. I am lucky that some staff live in areas unaffected as I have 3 staff who are still unable to access town.

This will be a crazy week for us. Thankyou in advance…. But please don’t use our post office as a storage area. If you can collect your parcel (and we can locate it) then we will have more room for the loads of incoming parcels. The backlog is insane so we want to make sure our youngsters get their presents this Christmas. Safe, dry, undamaged…. Fingers crossed. 🙏🤞🏻

Edge Hill LPO will be closed again today. Excessive rain and wind, no deliveries due to weather. We’ll be back on deck tomorrow although stock levels are quite low due to lack of deliveries from Brisbane.

BYO boxes! We’re very low on boxes, although we have heaps of other packaging options.

Edge Hill Post office will be closed Wednesday 13/12 due to Jasper. No postal deliveries Wednesday and Thursday. Will keep you updated with opening hours for Thursday depending on how it pans out! Stay safe everyone!
