The Mannum Library is located in Mannum, South Australia and services both the community and the school. At the library we provide free access to computers, WiFi/internet and help with tech. Other services include printing, photocopying, faxing and laminating for a small fee. We also offer a dynamic collection of fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, magazines and local history. Th

e Mannum Library is also a member of the South Australian Library's One Card System which means that we can access over 4 million items from across the state. We also have free access to eBooks and eAudiobooks through the app Libby by Overdrive, eMagazines through the app PressReader and so much more! Anyone can become a library member for free and start borrowing straight away!

Thursday the 27th of August is the day of the book week parade.

**WE HAVE SOME GREAT NEWS TO SHARE! **
Calling All Local Writers. First-Time Writers Especially Welcome.
The Murraylands Writers’ Group, in association with the Mannum Mag, has launched its first writing competition, and the theme is Friendship. Poetry and short stories are both welcome. There are three sections: Under 12s for junior writers, Teens for ages 12 to 17, and an Open section where all ages are welcome. Entry is free, there are prizes in every section, and the competition is open to residents of the Murraylands region. Entries open on 1st of September 2026 and close on 31st of October 2026.
Full details on how to enter will appear in the Mannum Mag and on the Mag’s website, sites.google.com/view/mannum-mag, from September. Winners will be announced in the Christmas Edition. The competition is sponsored by Caring Connected Communities - Mid Murray Su***de Prevention Network Inc. So, get your thinking caps on. As Mark Twain reportedly put it, "writing is easy, and all you have to do is cross out the wrong words."

The workshop was held by Adelaide hill's artist Rebecca Prince. We look forward to having her return in the future for more art workshops - Watch this space!

What a fantastic day at our LEGO Stop Motion workshop on Monday! 🎬🧱

It was wonderful to see everyone's creativity come to life as participants built their LEGO scenes and turned them into their own stop motion movies. From imaginative stories to clever animations, we were so impressed with what everyone created!

With the chilly weather outside, it was also the perfect way to spend a warm and fun day indoors.
Thank you to everyone who came along!
