Congratulations to the 37 students who were awarded their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in today’s assembly. That’s an incredible number of students who have achieved this incredible milestone this year.

Achieving Gold requires dedication, resilience and commitment over an extended period. Participants complete challenging sections in volunteering, physical recreation, skill development and adventurous journeys.

We are immensely proud of these students and the determination they have shown in reaching this milestone.

On Friday, Year 8 students gathered for their Reflection Day which was centered around the theme “Be the Light: Listening, Compassion, Community.” The day was made even more meaningful as it was led by our outstanding Year 11 students. Together, they explored Benedictine and Church teachings, discovering something deeply important along the way.

Being ‘light’ is not something distant—it is something they can choose every single day.
Every time they:
✨ Listen to someone,
✨ Include someone,
✨Show kindness, or
✨ Say thank you,
- they are being light.
And just like the Good Samaritan, they are choosing to stop, notice, and care, because as Stella Girls, this is the kind of person they are called to be.
