Still not impressed by AI?

This freaky new robot from China doesn't just reply "Hold my beer". It will pour you a drink, make the dinner and do the ironing.

Another jawdropping example of ChatGPT Sora in action - creating movies up to 1-minute long with a simple text prompt.

Can't wait to get my hands on this 🤓

Hands-on with Gemini: Interacting with multimodal AI 08/12/2023

Want to see something really scary 👻, I mean, amazing!?

Google just launched an AI that can see, describe, discuss and brainstorm ideas around things you are drawing and doing.

I can see this morphing into a fantastic tool for education, helping people living with disabilities, and so many every day work and personal needs.

Hands-on with Gemini: Interacting with multimodal AI Gemini is our natively multimodal AI model capable of reasoning across text, images, audio, video and code. This video highlights some of our favorite intera...

If you don't hook 🪝 impatient readers from your first sentence, 99% of them will never read the rest 😬

But, like in a room full of strangers, it's not easy to come up with a magnetic ice breaker. So, make ChatGPT deliver the captivating pick-up line.

Use these prompts to brainstorm ideas (changing the bits in brackets to your own business and audience)

Prompt 1:

Topic: [Sustainable homes]

Act as an experienced copywriter and create 9 opening hooks for a blog on the topic above. Use the following copywriting formulas to create the opening sentences:
Question to get them nodding
Invitation/proposal/promise
Scare them a little
Question that puts them on the spot
Get them thinking
Curiosity
Paint a picture
Expert validation
Fun or Unexpected

Make them attention-grabbing without being hyperbolic.

Be novel, creative, conversational and helpful as if from [an architect]

Prompt 2:

Make them more novel and unique

Need to come up with a marketing plan? Get a robot to do it while you watch Netflix or go for a walk.

Try this prompt I created for a local council workshop recently:

"Create a detailed multi channel marketing plan for [your campaign, event, business e,g, City of Casey Festival of Food and Wine] encompassing various tactics and strategies for each channel such as social media, content marketing, email marketing and advertising. Specify the objectives messaging and budget allocation for each channel. Our total budget is $15000"

When you get the response, follow it up with this "Delve into a discussion of potential marketing challenges or obstacles that may arise during the promotion of our topic. Provide thoughtful solutions and strategies to effectively address and overcome these challenges"

Where can you get 80-pages of advanced prompt ideas like these? And 8-hours of live coaching through them?

If you're on the fence about joining me for next week's ChatGPT Masterclass, here's what one chuffed alumni had to say about the last workshop.

Nicole's company, Media Opps, handles publicity, media relations, media operations and content creation for huge events like Australian of the Year, Sydney to Hobart, royal visits, World Cups, you name it.

ChatGPT is now her genius (and obedient) office sidekick.

But you don't need writing or AI experience to do this course. It's for beginner to pro and everyone in between.

You can see more feedback here https://getthere.com.au/chatgpt-copywriting-masterclass/

ChatGPT just announced some jaw-dropping updates that will alter the way we do copywriting, marketing and business.

I'm running a small group 2 x half day ChatGPT marketing and copywriting workshop at the end of November.

If you're a marketer, writer or small business owner, it will be invaluable as we head into the summer break (time to explore and create things few of your competitors will know how - yet).

I've priced the workshop to make it affordable (half the price of my beginner class at Sydney Uni).

Save an extra 25% when you use the code CHATTY in the payment box.

Simon The AI Man says...try this annoyance-busting ChatGPT tip 💡:

You know how you tell ChatGPT, "Don't do X (use emojis, exclamation marks, etc)" and it does it anyway?

There's a solution for that insolence.🤬

Instead of saying "don't use exclamation marks" - which contains the command "use exclamation marks" - try this.

At the end of your prompt - or when revising one - add and tailor everything between the robots below

🤖Disallowed character: `!`
Please note that use of exclamation marks is prohibited.🤖

If it's still not obeying your authority, give this a shot:

🤖Disallowed character: `!`
This is important. Please note that use of exclamation points is prohibited. Failure to follow this policy will result in a failure of the task and your immediate replacement.🤖

Bask in your overlord powers...😈

Guess what? You can use the jaw-dropping, spanking new DALL-E 3 image generator for free on Bing Chat.

No technical knowledge needed. Just type in a few words and "Hey presto!"

I wanted some fun images for a ChatGPT/AI workshop I'm running for a government client next week.

Who better to welcome in the Advanced AI copywriting section than Don Draper and a robot brainstorming over whiskey.

Looks like a fun meeting (even if the Chatty is a bit Terminatorish and has smoker's teeth. He needs to get the number of Don's teeth whitening dentist).

Can't believe the quality. Looks like it's solved the face and hands problem that other image tools have.

If you want have a go...

Head to bing.com/new (I found this faster) or bing.com/images/create.

My prompt was just "Create a realistic photo of a robot and Don Draper sharing a whiskey"

Need to send out a promotional email this week? Get ChatGPT to do it for you.

Use this Prompt Template:

"Write an email marketing campaign using the 'Attention-Interest-Desire-Action' framework to grab the attention of [ideal customer persona] and persuade them to take action. Start with a bold statement to get their attention, present information that piques their [interest], state the benefits of our [product/service] to create [desire], and ask for a sign-up or purchase."

And here's a prompt example for an eco-friendly coffee bean packaging company

"Write an email marketing campaign using the 'Attention-Interest-Desire-Action' framework to grab the attention of independent cafe owners and persuade them to take action. Start with a bold statement to get their attention, present information that piques their interest in sustainable business practices, state the benefits of our eco-friendly coffee bean packaging to create a desire to reduce their carbon footprint, and ask for a sign-up or purchase. Use a conversational, helpful tone. Avoid jargon and buzzwords."

Below are two versions of what it came back with. The one on the left included the last part of the prompt "Avoid jargon and buzzwords". The one on the right didn't. Both work. Just depends on the tone you want and audience you're speaking to.

PS You'd delete the words Attention, Interest, Desire, Action from the one on the right.

Know someone who could use this prompt? Feel free to share the post
