Science Week - Bridge Building Results

Congratulations to Year 7s Declan Vivian and Owen Manser who crushed their opposition and broke records in designing a bridge capable of supporting 18.20 kg. All teams were a pleasure to host, being gracious in victory and humble in defeat! Your engineering and fair play was admirable.

Science Week

This Friday, the 21st of August, our school will be participating in Superhero Superkids day!

Bring a cold coin donation and wear your footy team's colours, sports team colours or faction colours to help us support local families committed to raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer through WA football and Auskick. There will also be a sausage sizzle at lunchtime for $2 each, so make sure to bring some extra money.

Get involved, wear your colours and help us support a great local cause!

Year 9 Maths

Our Year 9 students took their learning off the page and onto a giant Cartesian plane thanks to Mrs Wrack.

Students worked together to explore linear relationships in a hands-on way, using coordinates to position objects and string to create straight-line graphs. Along the way, they identified and calculated key features including gradient (rise/run), y-intercepts, midpoints, equations of straight lines and distance between two points.

The activity gave students a chance to physically see how changing coordinates affects the slope and position of a line, turning concepts that can sometimes feel abstract into something much more visual and concrete
