✨🎹What a fabulous Eisteddfod season for our wonderful pianists! 🎹✨

⭐️This year, nine Julia Sykes School of Music students took to the stage, with eight performing at the Bunbury Eisteddfod and Sylvie Higgins becoming our very first entrant in the Albany Eisteddfod.

🤩We are incredibly proud of every student who performed. Preparing for an Eisteddfod takes dedication, courage and countless hours of practice, and our students represented the school beautifully. With many performances scoring in the 90s, along with a wonderful collection of placings and commendations, this year's results reflected the high standard our students brought to the stage.

🥇Among the highlights, Lily Baker was awarded 1st Place for her original arrangement of 'Demons' by Imagine Dragons - an outstanding achievement in her very first Eisteddfod!

🥇A special congratulations also goes to Imogen Jacob, who not only received 1st Place for her original arrangement of 'Iris' by Goo Goo Dolls, but has also been invited to perform at the Bunbury Eisteddfod Gala Performance this Saturday evening.

🏆Congratulations to all of our performers. We couldn't be more proud of what you've achieved this year! ❤️🎶

We are incredibly proud to announce that Imogen has been invited to perform at the 2026 Bunbury Eisteddfod Gala Performance

The Gala Performance showcases selected performers from across the Eisteddfod and is a tremendous honour to be included.

This invitation marks the first time a Julia Sykes School of Music student has been selected to perform at the Gala, making this a truly special milestone for our school and a testament to Imogen's hard work, dedication and outstanding musicianship.
