ST JOSEPH’S MANILDRA EASTER HAT PARADE

What a joyful and creative day we shared at St Joseph’s for our inaugural Easter Hat Parade! Students, teachers and parents had a wonderful time designing and creating their own Easter hats, showcasing an amazing array of colours, creativity, and imagination.

The excitement continued as our students proudly paraded their creations, bringing smiles and plenty of Easter cheer to all who attended. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, creativity, and community spirit on display.

A big thank you to our families for your support and to our staff for making the day so special. Wishing everyone a happy and blessed Easter!

Easter Hat Fun at St Joseph’s Manildra!

On Thursday, April 2nd, students will create their Easter hats at school from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. All craft supplies will be provided, so there’s no need to bring anything along.
Families are warmly invited to join us from 11:30 am for the hat-making and stay for our Easter Hat Parade at 2:30 pm.
We look forward to celebrating together!

THE BIG WATER WALK – PROJECT COMPASSION

Today, students at St Joseph’s Manildra took part in The Big Water Walk as part of our Project Compassion fundraising efforts.

With buckets in hand, our students walked the perimeter of the school, experiencing in a small way the daily reality faced by children in Tanzania who must travel long distances to collect fresh water for their families. It was a powerful and meaningful experience that helped build empathy, understanding, and gratitude.

Through this activity, our students lived out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching—acting for justice, showing compassion, and making a difference in the lives of others.

🌍🔢 WORLD MATHS DAY AT ST JOSEPH’S MANILDRA 🔢🌍

Recently, St Joseph’s proudly celebrated World Maths Day with great enthusiasm and community spirit.

Our 2026 theme, United by Numbers, highlighted the belief that everyone can learn and excel at mathematics when given the right support. It was wonderful to see this come to life across the school.

Students and staff embraced the occasion by dressing up in creative, number-themed outfits, and what a spectacular sight it was! 🔢✨

We were delighted to welcome families and community members who joined us for engaging maths activities, open classrooms, and our whole-school assembly. It was a fantastic celebration of learning together.

A huge thank you to Mrs Crosby for her leadership, planning and coordination in creating such a memorable and successful day! 👏

PROJECT COMPASSION FUNDRAISER
Monday, 30th March

Students at St Joseph’s Manildra will take part in the Big Water Walk! This meaningful activity helps students experience, in a small way, the challenges faced by many people around the world in accessing clean water.

Through this fundraiser, we are not only raising money but also living out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, acting for justice and making a difference in the lives of others.

We understand living expenses are increasing, so we invite students to bring a coin donation to support communities in need. Thank you for your generosity and support

All money raised will go to Project Compassion!

St Joseph’s is excited to celebrate World Maths Day on Wednesday, 25th March.

Our 2026 theme is United by Numbers – celebrating the belief that everyone can learn and excel at mathematics when given the right support.

🎉 Maths Dress-Up Day!
All students and staff are invited to include something number-related in their outfit. Fun ideas include:

🃏 Playing or game cards
🔢 A sports jersey with a number
📊 Times tables or number facts
📐 Geometric shapes
🎯 Dice or dominoes
🧮 An abacus

🕑 Open Classrooms at 2:00 pm
🎤 Assembly at 2:30 pm

Families and community members are warmly invited to join us for open classrooms, followed by our whole-school assembly.

🥋 Sporting Schools – Judo Lessons 🥋

Our students have been participating in Judo lessons, funded through our Sporting Schools grant. These sessions are delivered by Judo Australia and led by experienced local instructor Greg Wiltshire from Cudal.

Judo develops much more than physical skills. Students are learning important core values such as respect, discipline, perseverance and teamwork. Along the way, they are also building coordination, balance and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow our students to try new sports, challenge themselves and grow both physically and personally. 💪

ST JOSEPH’S FEAST DAY

Today, St Joseph's Eugowra proudly hosted our annual St Joseph’s Feast Day, bringing together our wider EMMY family for a joyful and faith-filled celebration.

It is a cherished tradition for St Joseph's Manildra to come together with our partner schools, St Joseph’s Eugowra, St Joseph's Molong and St Columba's Yeoval, to honour Saint Joseph. This special day reminds us of St Joseph’s humility, faith, and dedication to family, values we strive to live out in our own school communities.

Students and staff shared in Mass, and activities to strengthen the bonds that unite our schools. It was wonderful to see our EMMY community come together in such a meaningful way.
