Our K-2 students have been having a fantastic time playing the number card game ‘Garbage’ – helping them to learn their numbers! ♦️♠️
We’ve also been exploring maps and learning all about position and direction. The children drew their own maps of the school and planned paths to get around, then followed along to see if they could reach their destination. It’s been wonderful to see them working together, developing their reading and map skills 🧭🗺️

🌟 A Heartfelt Visit to Prunus Lodge 🌟
On Friday, our K-2 students had a truly special day visiting Prunus Lodge. They brought smiles and joy, singing and dancing to Elvis Presley’s "Hound Dog" and the timeless classic "You Are My Sunshine." It was wonderful to see the residents singing along and joining in the fun. The students also played games and shared stories, sparking beautiful conversations about childhood memories. A huge thank you to Prunus Lodge for welcoming us so warmly.

🌟 PE & Science Enrichment Day at Molong Central School! 🌟
We had a fantastic day learning what PE and Science are like in a high school setting! Students got to try out cool experiments, like using Bunsen burners, playing with electricity, and making mini helicopters to learn about gravity. 🚁There were also lots of new games in PE, plus chances to show good sportsmanship and practise new skills, whilst interacting with students from other schools. Thanks so much to the Molong staff for organising such a fun and busy day. We loved being part of it! 🏀🏒

One of our favourite days on the Manildra Public School calendar - our Book Parade and Book Fair. The student’s imaginations and creativity showed their love of reading with some wonderful costumes.

Today we celebrate and appreciate our wonderful Principal, Bobbie Fliedner.

Thank you, Bobbie, for the care, dedication and passion you bring to Manildra Public School every single day. Your leadership goes far beyond the running of our school — you create a welcoming, supportive and positive environment where our students, staff and families feel valued and cared for.

Thank you for always putting our students first, for supporting our staff, for celebrating our successes and for being there through the challenges. Your kindness, commitment and genuine love for our school community make such a difference.

We are incredibly grateful for everything you do and for the wonderful leader and person you are.

🌍 Today we had a special lesson with Tom Barnsley, Environmental Consultant, on "Wasting Our World."
Students learned about the two different types of energy sources: renewable and non-renewable. We explored the dangers plastics pose to our planet, the various types of metals and their impact on the environment, and why batteries are hazardous and shouldn't be thrown in the bin.
A big thank you to Tom for helping us understand how to look after our planet! Thank to the Cabonne council for organising this lesson. 💚🌱
