With this week being both Fire Safety and Get Ready Queensland week, we spent some time having discussions about preparing for emergencies by conducting our monthly fire drill, enjoying action-filled firefighter role play and plenty more engaging ways to develop our awareness!

Rain rain go away, come again another day 🌧️

Even though it looked a little different than normal, we still enjoyed our monthly Beach Kindy excursion today! We headed of on a rainy day drive and watched the waves from the dry bus.

Our little Koala's have been getting creative with paint! They explored colours, textures and the feeling of paint between their fingers while making their very own little masterpieces 🪶

We love seeing our Koalas learn alongside their peers. From sharing spaces, to watching each other and just simply enjoying those early moments of connection and social learning 🤩

Bright Bags QLD is in desperate need of some items. Our leadership team will be doing a drop of items to their head office this weekend if you have anything to donate, please bring it in and place it on our donation bin by Friday. Thank you 😊

We have done an audit of our tubs in our little shed - and these are the items that we have ZERO of - or very limited amounts.

We are desperate for summer PJ’s, we have zero stock for most sizes 🤦‍♀️

If you come across a bargain, please know we appreciate any help we can get as we head into the busiest time of the year.

We are going to spend some of our Coles monetary donation on other items (male clothes, 3 in 1 wash, hats, and our girly packs that Deb puts together).

Together as a community we can fill our Bright Bags with love for our local children who need it most ♥️

On Friday, Educational Leaders from our Wamuran, Elimbah and Pumicestone Centres along with our Company Educational Leader attended the Caboolture Flag Raising NAIDOC Event- The event celebrates 50 years of Deadly, making 5 decades of NAIDOC Week, with a theme that highlights the strength, resilience, leadership and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 🍃

On Tuesday last week, team members from our Clayfield, Northgate and Samford Centres attended the National Sorry Day- Teralba Park Ceremony which is run by the Teralba Park Stolen Generation Support Group Inc.

At Capers Early Learning we acknowledge National Sorry Day as a day of remembering those children and families that were taken from their loved ones and the impact this had on their lives. This was also an opportunity for learning and reflection of how we can continue on our journey towards Reconciliation.
