If your child is in year 8 and cannot do this maths then your child is not at the level he should be according to the Australian curriculum. 11(e+17). This is basic algebra and YES Algebra is a life skill....if he/she cannot expand this equation 3pq-6p (to the power of 2)....then she is also in need of some maths support.
