โš ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘€ COMMUNITY WATCH ๐Ÿ‘€โš ๏ธ

We were so thrilled with the resurfacing of the basketball courts and were keen to share photos before our return in 2025. Unfortunately, senseless vandalism has taken away our joy and our courts are now in need of repair ๐Ÿ˜ข

School holidays are a prime time for vandals. So, we are seeking your help! If you see any suspicious activity, please report it to School Watch - 1800 177 777.

The 2 day festival celebrating our Year 6s has come to an end.

Today, the students enjoyed a delicious graduation lunch.

It is nearly time to bid our Year 6s farewell. Just one more day to go. We wish them good luck on their next journey. We know they will shine!

This term, Room 8 has explored the principles of push and pull and how they are used in toy design. They experimented with moving components and manipulated materials using various tools and techniques to create movement. As part of their project, students designed and created marionette puppets, giving them the opportunity to combine materials with forces to bring movement to life.

2๏ธโƒฃ A PEEK IN ROOM 2 ๐Ÿ‘€

This term, Room 2 has been working on the theme โ€œDinosaursโ€.
We have investigated what it is like to be a paleontologist, by digging for chocolate chip โ€œ fossils in a cookie using special tools. Room 2 loves to bake, so we baked fossil cookies as part of our Fun Friday activities, and played with special dinosaur Duplo.
In maths, we used spinners to collect dinosaur data. We made graphs using the information we collected.

In design and technology we have designed pasta dinosaur skeletons, used shapes to design our own dinosaur species and then made dinosaurs with special features like spikes and horns using plasticine and lots of craft materials. We also designed parachutes that would safely transport a plastic dinosaur to the ground and tested them in the playground.

In art this term, we have made dinosaur skeletons from cotton buds, glittery dinosaurs from paper plates and lots of other designs.

1๏ธโƒฃ1๏ธโƒฃ A PEEK IN ROOM 11 ๐Ÿ‘€

As the end of the year fast approaches, Room 11 has been busy in their learning. Students have been learning about statistics and probability in maths and completed a student survey based on an open question about food. The students posed questions, collected the data and then displayed this data in a graph of their choice.

Students have been collaborative and creative and have taken pride in their learning to create and produce utterly impressive designs on the platform Minecraft Education to display their science and HASS knowledge and understanding. Students also engaged in swimming lessons in week 8 showing resilience and determination.

2๏ธโƒฃ3๏ธโƒฃA PEEK IN ROOM 23 ๐Ÿ‘€

What a glorious week we had for swimming lessons! The children really enjoyed going down to the beach and had great fun. Unfortunately, we didnโ€™t get chance to do the Beach Carnival at the beach, however, Mr Staples carried out some amazing summer carnival activities during sport as an alternative which the children really enjoyed.

In Science, we have been learning about โ€˜Night and Dayโ€™ and who orbits who. We went outside to role play and take it in turns being the Sun, Moon and the Earth.

As our digital technologies unit is now finished, I always like to finish off the year by using the skills we have learnt by making our very own board games. The children have started to plan what they would like theirs to look like and are super excited to start making them!

๐Ÿ”Ÿ A PEEK IN ROOM 10 ๐Ÿ‘€

Room 10 have been learning about Space this term. We have designed our own planets and created statistics and interesting facts about them. We were extremely lucky as we got to share our posters with Kindy and explain our wonderful ideas to them. Thank you Mrs Hunt for inviting us down. As you can see, the students in Room 10 did a fabulous job.

4๏ธโƒฃ A PEEK IN ROOM 4 ๐Ÿ‘€

Term 4 has been an incredible term for growth amongst the students in Room 4. Our reading is out of this world, we have been writing some very detailed narratives, even experimenting with direct speech. In Math, we have enjoyed learning about money and making different amounts and continuing to expand our understanding of place value up to 3 digits. Finally, in Design and Technology we created our musical instruments. These turned out fantastic and we had so much fun!
