Principal’s Message this week on Faith. Over recent weeks, we have reflected on how genuine faith shapes our actions, habits and culture. This week’s verse reminds us that faith is not simply something we believe, it should be visible in how we live.

As Christ lives in us, may His character be reflected in our words, decisions and interactions. In every classroom, office, conversation and challenge, we have an opportunity to demonstrate His grace, patience, courage and love.

This week, let us pause and ask: Can others see Christ living through me?

I give thanks to all of our staff who continue to serve faithfully, encourage one another and contribute to the culture we are building together at FCC.

Have a wonderful week.

Faith in Action at FCC

As part of our Term 3 focus on Faith, we've been reflecting on how faith is more than what we believe, it's how we live. As James 2:17 reminds us, "faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."

A flourishing Christian school isn't built through grand programs alone. It grows through everyday acts of encouragement, service, grace, patience and kindness. It's found in supporting a struggling student, uplifting a colleague, welcoming a family, or simply choosing words that build others up.

Our prayer is that FCC continues to be a place where people belong, flourish, and experience the love of Jesus through the way we treat one another.

What are you contributing to the habitat around you this week?

Congratulations Shekinah and to all our Students who participated in this competition! We are so proud of you!

Thank you Andrew Hastie for continuing the tradition of this unique competition that our young people can enjoy.

A huge round of applause for Lillian Branson, the winner of the 2026 Canning Shakespeare Competition! Her performance of Viola from Twelfth Night carried the audience to another time and place.

Congratulations also to our runner-up, Shekinah Doherty, who captivated the judges and audience alike with a commanding performance as Lady Macbeth.

A big thank you to our esteemed panel of judges Dr. Melissa Merchant, and Dr. Tom Heath for their time, insight, and passion for the arts.

To all of our finalists: well done! Shakespeare isn’t easy—but if something is difficult, it is worth doing. 🎭

Last week, we were fortunate to celebrate our Secondary Athletics Carnival under glorious weather, with outstanding participation from our students making it a fantastic day for all involved.

Students proudly wore their house colours and competed with enthusiasm and great sportsmanship, creating an exciting atmosphere throughout the day. Our Year 12 students certainly dressed to impress, demonstrating to their younger peers that sport and fun go hand in hand, even for the most serious competitors!

We would also like to extend our thanks to the parents, families, and spectators who joined us on the day. Your encouragement and support from the sidelines helped create a positive and memorable experience for all of our athletes.

A special thank you goes to our Sports Team for their organisation and coordination of this successful event. The level of student participation was so exceptional that our team was unable to finalise and announce the Champion Athletes and Champion House on the day.

We now eagerly await the announcement of these results at a future assembly. Congratulations to all students for their effort, house spirit, and positive attitude. What a wonderful celebration of sport and community!

Cupcake Day was a sweet success! Last week, Secondary Students enjoyed choosing from a selection of pink and chocolate cupcakes, sold for $2 each to support the Secondary Netball Tournament this week.

Money raised will contribute to pizza lunches for the year groups that are victorious in their matches.

Thank you to everyone who supported the cupcake stall, and we wish all students involved the very best as they compete in the tournament this week.

In a world full of opinions, expectations and constant noise, it can be easy for other voices to become louder than God's voice. Romans 10:17 reminds us that faith grows as we hear, receive and trust God's Word.

When challenges arise, we have a choice about which voices will shape our thinking. Fear may say, "This is too difficult," but God says, "My grace is sufficient for you." Discouragement says, "Nothing is changing," but God reminds us not to grow weary in doing good.

As a College community, we have the privilege of encouraging faith in our students and in one another. A kind word, a helping hand, or a moment of encouragement can make a lasting difference. Let us resist criticism, lean in with grace, and ask, "How can I help?"

May we continue to be a College where the Word of Christ is heard, the love of Christ is experienced, and faith is strengthened in all of us.
