This is a wonderful way for children to explore different art mediums. By combining solid and liquid parts and creating a different texture, children have the opportunity to experiment and establish their own concepts and knowledge around the outcome they produce. ๐ŸŒธ

This week we celebrated special persons day. Itโ€™s important to us that all of our families are included and celebrated during special occasions which is why we choose to celebrate special persons day twice a year .The children have been hard at work creating paintings for all the special people they love in their lives โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

The children have been learning about life cycles of our plants and animals at nurture . This week we displayed some new signs in the childrenโ€™s play space to use as prompt for discussions. They each have the life cycle of a different plant or insect on them . The children were over heard telling each other how the carrots grow from seeds. ๐Ÿฅ•

Today the children created Rice paper rolls to share at afternoon tea. They have been researching Thailand this month . They used lots of yummy vegetables, rice paper and noodles to create these. The children helped prepare the vegetables by using tools to chop and peel them . Georgina showed the children how to hold these safely to protect their fingers and away they went. They then soaked the noodles and rice paper to make them wet. They then chose the ingredients they would like in the rolls identifying the veggies and counting them as they went โ€œ 1,2,3,4โ€ . Some of the children then had a go at helping fold the rolls. Some of these broke and we explained to the children it was too wet and so we tried again.

We are very blessed to have such an amazing team of educators at Nurture Through Nature
Over the upcoming weeks we will be sharing our educator profiles with you so you can learn more about our team ๐ŸŒป

At Nurture Through Nature the childrenโ€™s fascinations drive our curriculum which is why collecting their input on what interests them is so important.
The children are actively involved in researching their own learning and today during a meeting time we discussed what things they are curious about and what they would like to learn .
Some of their suggestions were trees , whales and the number 20 .๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿณ๐ŸŒณโค๏ธ

This morning our families attended our Easter celebration, it was wonderful celebrating with you allโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

As parents, we see mud and only see a mess. But to children, mud is an abundant and attractive medium for creation, exploration, and adventure. Mud is fun! Playing with mud engages all the senses, encourages creativity, and creates long-lasting childhood memories.
