🥳🥳 FINAL ASSEMBLY 🥳🥳

Today was the final day of school for 2024.

And for our Year 10 it was their final day EVER as students at HHC ESC.

We had a marvellous day out in the garden, farewelling our Year 10 students, as well as long term staff members Mr Dixon, Mrs Dean, Ms Gallagher.

We hope you all have a fantastic holiday.

We will see you all on Wednesday the 5th of February when school resumes for 2025.

🛠🛠 YEAR 9 CAREER TASTER 🛠🛠

Earlier this week the Year 9s travelled to Bunnings for their final Career Taster.

Here they learnt all about working in a retail store, including helping customers, stocking shelves and most importantly how to build a bird feeder.

The Career Taster excursions have been a fabulous way for the Year 9s to begin preparing for Workplace Learning in Year 10 and have opened their eyes to lots of options and exciting industries for the future.

Our super exciting, highly anticipated and much talked about FUN DAY is almost here.

The students have been busy helping staff prepare for next Tuesday by decorating and personalising these beautiful craft bags.

I wonder what they will be used for on the day?

🏆🏆ATHLETICS CARNIVAL 🏆🏆

Last Friday was our annual Athletics Carnival.

We joined HHC for a fun filled day full of activities like tug of war and flags, as well as running races, long jump and shot put.

Well done to all the students who took part.

Please join us for a morning of musical treats when our Galaxy Choir perform their annual showcase.

On the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, a minute’s silence is observed and dedicated to those soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation.

The newly formed 7/8 class has been extremely busy in the shed!

They have been sawing, hammering and drilling to make insect houses 🐝🦋

Once complete they will make a beautiful addition to any garden 🌼🌸

There is no better feeling than seeing our students proudly showcasing their work 💚

Today we say thanks to Lyndall, Kath, Elva and Sarah for the role they play in creating a healthy food environment, supporting student wellbeing and assisting families.

💰💰 YEAR 7 MATH 💰💰

The start of term 4 has been all about money for the Year 7s.

They have been learning the value of different notes and coins, how to sort money by its value and to calculate the total cost of items. Including which notes or coins are to be used to pay for items and how much change they will receive.

Well done Year 7s!
