This week, our Year 5 and 6 students had the special opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the Future Country exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). This rich learning experience deepened students’ understanding of First Nations art, culture, history and perspectives through a diverse collection of contemporary Indigenous artworks.
It was a meaningful and memorable learning experience that deeped our students appreciation of Australia’s rich Indigenous cultures.

Yesterday, as part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, we had the honour of welcoming Ian Hunter, an Elder of the Wurundjeri-Willam people, who led our school in a traditional Smoking Ceremony. It provided our students and staff with a meaningful opportunity to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal culture and the enduring connection to Country.
We extend our sincere thanks to Ian for sharing this special experience with our community and helping make our NAIDOC Week celebrations so meaningful.

Last week, as part of Refugee Week, our Year 3 students wrote their own prayers for refugees around the world.
Through their prayers, they asked God to provide comfort, strength, guidance and hope to those who have been forced to leave their homes, and to surround them with love and support as they build new lives.
